BLOOD RELATIVE/IT'S OUR TIME (A.K.A. UNTITLED FILM RE-ENACTMENT PROJECT) (FOX) - The network has passed on both drama pilots. Melissa Leo toplined the former, in which genetic genealogy is the best new tool in crime scene forensics, and nobody knows it like Louise Kelly (Leo). Tate Donovan, Tyrone Marshall Brown, Dascha Polanco, Dawnn Lewis and Jude Mayer also starred. The latter featured three students - Collin (TBD), Logan (Dallas Young) and Willow (Kat Manchester) - who are pursuing their filmmaking dreams by putting on an impossibly ambitious shot-for-shot remake of one of Collin's favorite movies... "The Goonies." Caitlin FitzGerald starred as their teacher Stella Cooper with Livi Birch and Bridget Upchurch as her nieces, Olivia and Tory; Christian Finlayson as Marcus; Trayce Malachi as Zack; and Ramon Rodriguez as Jax. Veki Velilla, Francisco Ortiz, Emilio Gutiérrez Caba, Francisco Reyes, Nico Romero, Helio Pedregal, Mario Pardo, Miki Molina, Marina Gatell, Pepe Ocio and Silvia Abascal star in the project, about "a young investigative reporter named Antonia (Velilla), who uncovers the truth behind a decades-old Francoist conspiracy." Miguel Salvat, Steve Matthews and Antony Root are also among the executive producers for Zeta Studios. (Variety.com)
LIVE FROM THE RED CARPET (E!) - Giuliana Rancic is stepping down as host of the award show staple after almost two decades. (@giulianarancic)
LOOT (MAYA RUDOLPH COMEDY SERIES) (Apple TV+) - Mj Rodriguez has been cast opposite Maya Rudolph in the comedy series as Sofia, "the hard-working executive director of the non-profit funded by her absentee billionaire boss, Molly." (Variety.com)
NASH BRIDGES (USA) - The network is moving forward with its two-hour revival movie with Don Johnson (Nash Bridges), Cheech Marin (Joe Dominguez) and Jeff Perry (Harvey Leek) all reprising their roles as "elite investigators for the San Francisco Police Department Special Investigations Unit." Johnson, Bill Chais and Marc Rosen are behind the effort, which comes from Village Roadshow Television. Also cast are Diarra Kilpatrick as Lena Harris, "police captain and Nash's boss"; Bonnie Somerville as Christina Hunter, "a psychiatrist who contracts with SIU to evaluate cops"; Joe Dinicol as Steven Colton, "a by-the-book millennial cop"; Alexia Garcia as Chloe Zane, "a fearless and tech savvy member of the SIU Unit"; Angela Ko as Ellie Tang, "a rebellious, adrenaline junkie SIU Investigator"; and Paul James as Keith "Philly" Morton, "a tough as nails SIU inspector and Ellie's partner."
