ANDOR (Disney+) - Robert Emms has scored a role on the "Rogue One" spin-off series. No character details however were given. (Deadline.com)
FIRST LADY, THE (Showtime) - Gloria Reuben has been cast in the limited series as Valerie June Jarrett, "senior advisor to President Obama. Jarrett was Michelle Obama's friend and former boss, whom Michelle credits with teaching her about personal growth in the workplace." (Deadline.com)
FIVE DAYS AT MEMORIAL (Apple TV+) - Michael Gaston is the latest bound for the limited series as Arthur "Butch" Schafer, "an assistant attorney general with the state's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit." (Deadline.com)
FRUITS OF THY LABOR (Peacock, New!) - Billy Porter and Dan McCabe are set to team for a potential drama at the streamer which "follows three generations of an African-American showbiz dynasty navigating their way through life, love, politics and career." Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and David Madden are also on board to executive produce for their Warner Bros. Television-based Berlanti Productions with Jonathan Gabay producing. (Deadline.com)
MALIBU RISING (Hulu, New!) - The streamer is developing a TV series based on Taylor Jenkins Reid's recently released novel, which "centers on Nina, Jay, Hud and Kit Riva - children to the famed rocker Mick Riva - as they throw their annual party to celebrate the end of summer in 1983. Things take a dramatic turn as the family is forced to confront secrets and reckon with their family history." Amy Talkington and Liz Tigelaar are spearheading the adaptation with Jenkins Reid, Brad Mendelsohn, Stacey Silverman and Jennifer Gwartz likewise executive producing for 20th Television, Circle of Confusion and Best Day Ever Productions. NEVER HAVE I EVER (Netflix) - Chrissy Teigen has exited a role on the upcoming season in which she was set to guest voiceover. Said report indicates the move is the result of "the growing controversy surrounding Teigen, which started when she was accused of cyber bullying by former reality star Courtney Stodden." RIVKAH (Showtime, New!) - Comedian Robby Hoffman is developing a comedy at the pay channel "inspired by her real life and focuses on two worlds - the idyllic contemporary life Hoffman lives as a genderqueer woman on the Eastside of L.A., and her childhood growing up as a closeted girl named Rivkah with nine siblings set in the world of the Hasidic community in Brooklyn's Crown Heights.
