4400 (The CW) - Original "The 4000" cast member Patrick John Flueger will guest on the reboot series as Caleb, "a charismatic figure from one of the 4400's past." Additionally, original co-creator Scott Peters will helm the series' 12th installment. (Deadline.com)
DEAD BOY DETECTIVES (HBO Max) - George Rexstrew, Jayden Revri and Kassius Nelson have booked the title roles in the proposed DC Comics adaptation, which "would follow the Dead Boy Detectives - Charles Rowland (Revri) and Edwin Paine (Rexstrew) - who decided not to enter the afterlife in order to stay on earth and investigate crimes involving the supernatural. They are joined by Crystal Palace (Nelson), a living psychic medium." Also cast in the pilot are Alexander Calvert as Thomas The Cat King; Briana Cuoco as Jenny, "a mildly punk butcher and a confidant of Crystal Palace"; Jenn Lyon as Esther, "a witch obsessed with youth and immortality"; Yuyu Kitamura as Niko, "a boarding school student intent on joining the Dead Boy Detectives agency who now lives above Jenny's butcher shop"; and Ruth Connell as Night Nurse, "a demon that controls the flow of souls in the afterlife." Connell previously played that character in "Doom Patrol," which featured Sebastian Croft (Rowland), Ty Tennant (Paine) and Madalyn Horcher (Palace) as the aforementioned leads. (Variety.com)

NIGHT AGENT, THE (Netflix) - Gabriel Basso and Luciane Buchanan have scored the lead roles on the streamer's 10-episode Matthew Quirk adaptation. Basso's Peter Sutherland is a "low-level FBI agent who works in the basement of the White House, manning an emergency hotline for American spies. When a call comes in from a terrified civilian, Rose Larkin (Buchanan), Peter must protect Rose and work with her to uncover the conspiracy that threatens to rock the nation." Buchanan's Rose Larkin is "a young tech CEO who has fallen on hard times and has retreated to her aunt and uncle's house to reassess her life. When assassins come for her aunt and uncle, Rose learns they were not who they pretended to be, and barely escaping, finds herself with Peter, running for their lives." (Deadline.com)
NOCTERRA (Netflix, New!) - Roberto Patino is spearheading a TV take on Scott Snyder and Tony S. Daniel's Image Comics title at the streamer, billed as "a sci-fi adventure that revolves around Val Riggs, a ferryman who relays people and goods through a world enveloped by a lasting darkness that turns the living into monstrous creatures called shades." Atomic Monster's James Wan, Michael Clear and Rob Hackett will also executive produce. Patino's Analog Inc. recently signed an overall deal with Netflix. (THR.com)
UNTITLED POWER RANGERS PROJECT (Netflix, New!) - Jonathan Entwistle is spearheading "a potential universe of multiple series and movies" at the streamer based on Entertainment One's veteran franchise. No other specifics were given. (Deadline.com)
