MTV ENTERTAINMENT'S COMEDY CENTRAL ADDS "BROOKLYN NINE-NINE" TO LINEUP
FULL LIBRARY TO PREMIERE STARTING WITH ALL-DAY MARATHON ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 20TH
New York, NY, February 7, 2022 - Comedy Central welcomes "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" to its lineup, after acquiring the comedy series from NBCUniversal Global Distribution. Beginning February 20, all eight seasons of the critically-acclaimed sitcom will start airing on Comedy Central. "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" joins "Seinfeld," "Schitt's Creek," "The Office" and "Friends" on Comedy Central, making the brand a one-stop shop for comedy's biggest hits.
The series will premiere with a kick-off marathon on Sunday, February 20th at 5:00 p.m. ET/PT, with additional episodes of the sitcom to begin airing on Comedy Central on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting with Season 1.
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" follows the exploits of hilarious Det. Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and his stoically ever-professional Capt. Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher), along with their diverse, lovable colleagues as they protect the NYPD's 99th Precinct.
Rounding out the ensemble is Sgt. Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero), who has a passion for organization and a weakness for dork dancing; Lt. Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews), a mountain of a man whose most powerful muscle is his sweetheart; Jake's loyal best friend, Det. Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio), and the incredibly secretive, tough-as-nails Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz). Also part of the Nine-Nine are veteran officers Det. Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller) and Det. Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker), whose only skill as police officers is their ability to make a passable pot of coffee.
The series is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, Fremulon, Dr. Goor Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment. Dan Goor, Michael Schur, David Miner, Luke Del Tredici and David Phillips executive produce.
