By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The latest development news, culled from recent wire reports:

Looking to keep track of all the various projects in development? Click here to visit our signature "Devwatch" section. There visitors can view our listings by network, genre, studio and even development stage (ordered to pilot, cast-contingent, script, etc.). It's updated every day!

CINDY SNOW (FOX, New!) - Steve Yockey is developing a new comedy at the network which "follows Cindy Snow, who is the most popular local meteorologist in Savannah, GA, but behind the cameras, she's - not nice. When a freak head injury at work triggers surreal glimpses of the future, Cindy's life quickly unspools. In this pitch black comedy, Cindy is cosmically dragged towards being a better person, kicking and screaming the entire way." Warner Bros. Television and FOX Entertainment are behind the project, which Yockey is currently working on backup material with an eye towards a possible straight-to-series order. (Deadline.com)
EAST NEW YORK (CBS, New!) - The Eye has issued a pilot order to William Finkelstein and Mike Flynn for a new drama which "follows Regina Haywood, the newly promoted police captain of East New York, an impoverished, working class neighborhood at the eastern edge of Brooklyn. She leads a diverse group of officers and detectives, some of whom are reluctant to deploy her creative methods of serving and protecting during the midst of social upheaval and the early seeds of gentrification." Mike Robin of Skyemac Productions and Christine and Mark Holder of Wonder Street will also executive produce for Warner Bros. Television. (Variety.com)
GOLDEN SPOON, THE (Hulu, New!) - Aline Brosh McKenna is developing a limited series at the streamer based on the upcoming novel by Jessica Olien, "set in the idyllic world of TV baking competitions. It tells the story behind the scenes of everyone's favorite comfort show - a story of feuding hosts, sabotaged recipes, and the hapless contestants who must solve the crime before it's too late." Heather Morris will also co-executive produce for McKenna's ABC Signature-based Lean Machine banner. (Deadline.com)
IRONHEART (Disney+) - Anthony Ramos is set to star opposite Dominique Thorne in the upcoming Marvel Studios series. As usual, no details were given about his character. (Deadline.com)
LEAVE IT TO GEEGE (Lifetime) - The cable channel's reality series will transition from linear to digital with episodes three and four released tomorrow, February 10, and the remaining installments dropping weekly on mylifetime.com, the Lifetime app and VOD. (Variety.com)
MAGGIE (Hulu) - Co-creator Maggie Mull has signed a new multi-year overall deal with the comedy's producer 20th Television. (Deadline.com)
ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING (Hulu) - Andrea Martin and Zoe Colletti are among the latest faces set to drop by the new season. (@SteveMartinToGo)
PACT, THE (Roku, New!) - The streamer has acquired the six-part series from Katara Studios and Organic Media Group, which "follows a family strained past the breaking point by a post-apocalyptic world as they travel alongside other survivors seeking the cause and cure for the Miasma, a mysterious fog that drives victims insane." Rick Ravanello, James Marshall, Robert Knepper, Natassia Malthe, Louis Mandylor, and Eyad Hourani star in the project, due on March 26. Al Baker and creator Bobby Barbacioru directed with Gareth Brookes and Ahmed Al Baker serving as writers. Luca Bercovici, Hussein Fakhri and Al Baker are the executive producers. (Variety.com)
