AS WE SEE IT (Amazon) - The streamer has pulled the plug on the Jason Katims-produced series after one season. (Deadline.com)
AVERAGE JOE (BET+) - The Deon Cole-led dark comedy series has cast Tammy Townsend as Angela Washington, "Joe's loving wife who suffers from a painful illness"; Malcolm Barrett as Leon Montgomery, "a somewhat hapless hardware store owner"; Cynthia Kaye McWilliams as Cathy Montgomery, "Leon's ball-busting wife"; Michael Trucco as Benjamin "Touch" Tuchawuski, "Joe's long-time best friend"; Ashley Olivia Fisher as Jennifer Washington, "Angela and Leon's eighteen-year-old daughter"; and Pasha Lychnikoff as Nicolai Dzhugashvili, "a ruthless Russian mob boss and Dimitri's father." BEQUEATHED, THE (Netflix, New!) - Yeon Sang-ho has booked a new suspense drama at the streamer which "centers on Kim Hyun-joo's Yun Seo-ha, a young woman who inherits family land upon the sudden death of her uncle and finds herself mired in strange events that unravel deeply buried family troubles." Min Hong-nam is slated to direct for Wow Point and RedPeter Films. Park Hee-soon also stars as "astute police detective Choi Seong-jun, who catches onto the connections between the mysterious events occurring in the town and the burial ground"; with Ryu Kyung-soo as "Seo-ha's younger half-brother Kim Yeong-ho who gives her plenty to contend with." CHICAGO PD (NBC) - Recently departed star Jesse Lee Soffer is slated to return to direct the show's 16th episode this season. (Variety.com)
CONNERS, THE (ABC) - William H. Macy will guest on the current season as Smitty, "one of Dan's (John Goodman) best buds from high school, who pays a visit to Lanford." (Variety.com)
DEAD TO ME (Netflix) - Garret Dillahunt will recur on the show's upcoming final season as Glenn Moranis, "a top-notch detective who's basically the MVP of the FBI. You better believe that if anyone's gonna get to the bottom of Steve's murder, it's Agent Glenn Moranis." (Deadline.com)
DEATH NOTE (Netflix) - Halia Abdel-Meguid has been tapped to pen the proposed live-action series based on the famed anime of the same name. Matt and Ross Duffer are also among the executive producers. (Deadline.com)
DUNE: THE SISTERHOOD (HBO Max) - The prequel series has cast Sarah-Sofie Boussnina as Princess Ynez, "an independent young princess dealing with the pressures of her responsibility as heir to the Golden Lion Throne"; Shalom Brune-Franklin as Mikaela, "a strong-willed Fremen woman who serves the royal family while longing for a home planet she's never known"; Faoileann Cunningham as Sister Jen, "a fierce, unpredictable acolyte in training at the Sisterhood School who rarely reveals her emotional core"; Aoife Hinds as Sister Emeline, "a zealous acolyte descended from a long line of martyrs, who carries fervent religion to her training at the Sisterhood"; and Chloe Lea as Lila, "the youngest acolyte at the Sisterhood School with a deep empathy beyond her years." GEIGER (New!) - Justin Simien is looking to bring Geoff Johns and Gary Frank's Image Comics to the small screen at Paramount Television Studios: "Set in the year 2050, Geiger centers around a radioactive family man named Tariq Geiger who spends his days and nights doing anything he must to protect the fallout shelter housing his family. When Geiger fights off a group of violent scavengers, he faces the wrath of the criminal empire they are connected to." Jamie Iracleanos and Kyle Laursen will also executive produce alongside said trio for Culture Machine and Mad Ghost. (Deadline.com)
GOOSEBUMPS (Disney+) - Rachael Harris is the latest addition to the series as Nora, "Jeff's (Will Price) mother and an unassuming waitress at a local café that dabbles in sorcery." (Variety.com)
HARLEM (Amazon) - Season two of the comedy series has cast Rachel True as Aimee, "an earthy, ethereal owner of a plant shop in Harlem"; Courtnee Carter as Zoe, "a confident player who has a reputation for leaving a trail of broken hearts"; Luke Forbes as Michael, "one of New York's top real estate agents that Quinn's mom Patricia (Jasmine Guy) tries to blindly set Quinn (Grace Byers) up with"; Rick Fox as Phil, "Quinn's doting father, an affluent man who is delighted when his daughter joins him for a game of golf on his birthday"; Sherri Shepherd as Sonya, "Angie's (Shoniqua Shandai) boisterous, loving mother and Angie's biggest fan and cheerleader"; Countess Vaughn as herself; and Lil Rel Howery as Freddie, "Angie's step-brother, a high-spirited, supportive guy who is delighted to see Angie." POWER BOOK III: RAISING KANAN (Starz) - Tony Danza will drop by the show's second season finale as Stefano Marchetti, "the godfather of New York City's mafia scene and the most powerful man in town.
