Prime Video announces a new all-star fictional miniseries about the last day of the life of Paco Stanley
Diego Boneta, Luis Gerardo Méndez, Belinda, Zuria Vega, El Chá, Bárbara López, Roberto Duarte and Jorge Zárate will star in the miniseries about the last day of the charismatic television host
Production of this series will begin in early 2023.
MEXICO CITY, January 11, 2023 - Prime Video today announced a new Amazon Original Mexican production inspired by true events around the last day of Paco Stanley's life. This fictional miniseries will feature a stellar cast that includes Diego Boneta (Luis Miguel, La Serie), Luis Gerardo Méndez (Narcos: Mexico), Belinda (Welcome to Edén), Zuria Vega (El Refugio), El Chá (Moderatto) , Bárbara López (Señorita 89), Roberto Duarte (Un Extraño Enemigo) and Jorge Zárate (La Dictadura Perfecta), who will play characters close to the charismatic television host who was assassinated in 1999. Production of this series will begin in early 2023. and will be available exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories around the world.
From El Estudio and Tigre Pictures, this six-episode miniseries written by Rodrigo Patterson (Bad Hombre) and Alexandro Aldrete (La Casa de las Flores), directed by Humberto Hinojosa Ozcariz (Luis Miguel, La Serie; El Candidato) and Produced by Pablo Cruz from El Estudio and Pablo García Gatterer from Tigre Pictures, it will tell how the different characters who accompanied Paco on that tragic day lived through the events.
"The death of Paco Stanley marks a before and after in the history of our country, and at Prime Video we are proud that this talented team of filmmakers has managed to convene a cast that will make history on Mexican television," Alonso said. Esta miniserie de ficción contará con un elenco estelar que incluye a Diego Boneta (Luis Miguel, La Serie), Luis Gerardo Méndez (Narcos: México), Belinda (Bienvenidos a Edén), Zuria Vega (El Refugio), El Chá (Moderatto), Bárbara López (Señorita 89), Roberto Duarte (Un Extraño Enemigo) y Jorge Zárate (La Dictadura Perfecta), quienes interpretarán a personajes cercanos del carismático conductor de televisión que fue asesinado en 1999. La producción de esta serie comenzará a principios de 2023 y estará disponible exclusivamente en Prime Video en más de 240 países y territorios en el mundo.
