MLB on TBS Regular Season Coverage to Begin Tuesday, April 4 with Marquee Interleague Showdown as 2022 National League Pennant Winners Philadelphia Phillies & Trea Turner Visit New York Yankees & Aaron Judge

Warner Bros. Discovery Sports announced its game selections for the first half of the 2023 regular season MLB on TBS coverage, highlighted by a number of 2022 MLB Postseason rematches, superstars on new teams, and some of the biggest rivalries in baseball today.

The second season of MLB on TBS Tuesday will debut with an interleague East division showdown on Tuesday, April 4 at 7 p.m. ET, featuring the 2022 National League pennant winners Philadelphia Phillies and their newly acquired shortstop Trea Turner traveling to take on the New York Yankees and 2022 American League MVP Aaron Judge.

The 2023 season marks the 50th anniversary of MLB airing on WBD Sports' networks, dating back to 1973 when games were first televised on WTCG (now TBS). The partnership with MLB represents one of the longest-running relationships between a media company and league in the history of televised sports.

TBS will televise 26 Tuesday night games throughout the 2023 regular season and will be the exclusive home of the 2023 NLDS and NLCS.

Additional highlights of MLB on TBS' first-half schedule include:

Five appearances by the New York Mets, including a 2022 NL Wild Card rematch with the San Diego Padres on April 11, games against the top two NL teams in 2022 (at Los Angeles Dodgers on April 18, and at the Atlanta Braves on June 6), and their first 2023 regular season matchup against NL East division rival Phillies (May 30);

The Yankees and Carlos Rodon visiting the Mets and Justin Verlander on June 13 in the teams' first match-up of the season, following an offseason of big-time roster moves for both clubs;

The Braves, NL East champions for five seasons in a row, making four appearances, including against the Dodgers on May 23, and a rematch of the 2022 NLDS with the Phillies on June 20;

A full national telecast on June 20 featuring offseason addition J.D. Martinez and the Dodgers, coming off their 111-win 2022 season, facing superstar Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Angels;

Defending World Series champion Houston Astros and their new first baseman Josè Abreu making two appearances, including a full national telecast on June 27 against 2022 NL MVP Paul Goldschmidt and the 2022 NL Central champion St. Louis Cardinals in their first match-up of the season.
