Amazon Freevee Reunites Familiar Faces for the New Chapter of "Neighbours"

Annie Jones, Rebekah Elmaloglou, Georgie Stone, and Tim Kano will return as series regulars, with Ian Smith, April Rose Pengilly, and Melissa Bell returning as guest stars

LONDON - 28 February, 2023 - Today, Amazon Freevee and Fremantle announced seven more adored characters will be moving back to Ramsay Street for the much-anticipated new chapter of Neighbours. Annie Jones (as Jane Harris), Rebekah Elmaloglou (as Terese Willis), Georgie Stone (as Mackenzie Hargreaves), and Tim Kano (as Leo Tanaka) will reprise their roles as series regulars. Returning in guest roles are Ian Smith (as Harold Bishop), April Rose Pengilly (as Chloe Brennan), and Melissa Bell (as Lucy Robinson). They will be joined by Neighbours icons Stefan Dennis, Alan Fletcher, Ryan Moloney, and Jackie Woodburne, as previously announced.

The continuation of the long-running soap series - about the lives, loves, and challenges of the residents on Ramsay Street in Erinsborough, Australia, a fictional suburb of Melbourne - follows the finale in 2022, which was watched by millions of adoring fans. Production is set to commence this spring, with a world premiere slated for this Fall. The revitalised series will premiere for free, exclusively on Amazon Freevee in the UK and U.S. The series will also stream on Prime Video in Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and South Africa, and will be available seven days after launch on Prime Video in Australia. Previous seasons of Neighbours as well as many iconic episodes are currently available to stream on Amazon Freevee. Additionally, the free streaming service will feature two series themed FAST Channels on the service, 'Neighbours - Looking Back', starting on 28 Feb and 'Best of Neighbours', starting on 7 March.

Neighbours ran for more than three decades, garnering fans across the globe and launching the careers of many household names, such as Margot Robbie, Kylie Minogue, Guy Pearce, and Russell Crowe. Neighbours is produced by Fremantle. Jason Herbison, Neighbours' executive producer since 2013, will maintain his position on the exciting new chapter of Neighbours, with Andrew Thompson returning as producer.
