ACAPULCO (Apple TV+) - Jaime Camil is bound for the upcoming season as Alejandro, "the brother of one of the wealthiest men in Mexico and a new co-owner of Las Colinas who makes his co-owner Diane Davies' (Jessica Collins) life miserable at the hotel." (Deadline.com)
AMBER BROWN (Apple TV+) - The streamer has pulled the plug on the family comedy series after one season. (Deadline.com)
EXTRA (Syndication) - Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution has cleared the series for a 30th season on stations covering over 75% of the country. The development means the series will cross 9,000 episodes during the said run. (Deadline.com)
CHICAGO FIRE/CHICAGO MED/CHICAGO PD/FBI/FBI: INTERNATIONAL/FBI: MOST WANTED/LAW & ORDER/LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME/LAW & ORDER: SVU (CBS/NBC) - Universal Television has extended franchise creator Dick Wolf's overall deal at the studio for two additional years. (Deadline.com)
FBOY ISLAND (HBO Max) - Creator Elan Gale has signed an overall deal with ITV America to develop new unscripted projects. (Deadline.com)
INTERIOR CHINATOWN (Hulu) - Chris Pang will recur on the Jimmy O. Yang-led series as Older Brother, "the charming and talented beloved sibling of protagonist Willis Wu (Yang) whose mysterious disappearance years ago tore the family apart. Now, Willis has an opportunity to investigate his brother's case when Det. Lana Lee (Chloe Bennet) arrives in the neighborhood with new information." LAW & ORDER: SVU (NBC) - Kelli Giddish will reprise her role of Amanda Rollins for the show's season 24 finale as well as the penultimate of sister series "Law & Order: Organized Crime" this season. (TVLine.com)
SHARPS (Amazon, New!) - Writer Flint Wainess and director John Hamburg have sold a half-hour comedy to Amazon Studios which "revolves around 30-year-old Tyler Flynn, a nice guy with a normal job, a great girlfriend, and a secret that's eating away at him: he's one of the millions of Americans addicted to sports gambling. After hitting rock bottom and struggling to tell his loved ones about what he's done, he finds a way to win back everything (and more) when he's recruited into a sports gambling syndicate run by Buddy Kasper, an eccentric, possibly psychopathic professional sports gambler aka a "sharp."" Aaron Kaplan, Wendi Trilling, Melanie Frankel and Lauren Hennessey will also executive produce for Particular Pictures, Kapital Entertainment and TrillTV. (Deadline.com)
