TEXAS BROTHERS TRANSFORM BUDGET BUILDS INTO INCREDIBLE RIDES IN MOTORTREND'S ALL-NEW SERIES "HOLDEN BROS. RESTOS" PREMIERING MAY 10
(Los Angeles, CA) - In the hill country of Central Texas, the Holden brothers, Willie and Stephen, are transforming budget builds into incredible rides, and it's all happening on HOLDEN BROS. RESTOS. The new series premiering Wednesday, May 10 at 9 PM ET/PT on MotorTrend TV and streaming on MotorTrend+ showcases relatable builds that focus on parts and power as the brothers swap engines, upgrade the performance and revitalize every vehicle that comes through their shop.
The Holden brothers are mechanics by trade and true to their Texan roots: down-to-earth, patriotic, community-oriented, and dedicated to family. The series follows the brothers as they combine craftsmanship and resourcefulness to revamp vehicles on modest budgets. The builds are accessible vehicles chosen by what the brothers think they can quickly turn around within budget while having the most fun.
In each episode, the Holden brothers find a car or truck for around $5,000 and use the rest of their $25,000 budget to transform it into a ride any gearhead would enjoy. In Episode 1, VW Bust to Killer Bus, Willie and Stephen purchase a 1969 Volkswagen Van that they want to bring back to life. After installing a new battery, fuel pump, fuel line and upgrading the interior, paint, and tires, this will be the getaway van everyone wants to drive. During the reveal, the brothers walk us through the changes, budget and time investments, and what they estimate the value to be.
From a 1966 Ford F-350 to a 1988 Chevy K5 Blazer, the season features a variety of stand-out builds, including:
· Transforming a 1993 Volvo 240 Wagon from a "grocery getter" to a power wagon
· Modifying a 1976 Jeep DJ-5 Postal Truck to be a beach-friendly weekend cruiser
· Converting a 1985 Mercedes Benz 300d Turbo Diesel into an offroad safari package
· Turning a 1985 Dodge D-100 into a Sunday Shredder in a classic Pro Street style
· Making a 1971 Chevy Chevelle Wagon the baddest hot rod in the neighborhood
