Los Angeles, CA (December 6, 2023) - Lifetime announces its January and February movie slate featuring the Ripped from the Headlines movie, Girl in the Video, a film inspired by real events exploring the dark underworld of catfishing and exploitive videos on the dark web starring Cush Jumbo, set to premiere Saturday, January 13th. The following week on Saturday, January 20th Lifetime tackles multigenerational and dangerous eating disorders with the movie, Dying in Plain Sight, starring Raffia Virago and Nicola Correia - Damude. Megan Best, Camille Sullivan and Josh Bogert also star in Confessions of a Cam Girl, premiering Saturday, January 27th. Denise Boutee, Matt Cedeño, Brely Evans and Tamar Braxton star in the co-production premiere of A Mother's Intuition to kick off Saturday, February 3rd, centering on the story of a new mom who searches for the truth of her missing newborn and uncovers more than she could have ever imagined. The slate will close out with Abducted off the Street: The Carlesha Gaither Story on Saturday, February 10th, starring Riele Downs and Kenya Moore, the true story of Carlesha's violent abduction and her mother's search for her. All movies will air at 8p/7c.

GIRL IN THE VIDEO STARRING CUSH JUMBO AND TIA MAY WATTS PREMIERES JANUARY 13

Inspired by real events, Girl in the Video examines the story of widowed mother Mo (Cush Jumbo, The Good Fight, Criminal Record) who is managing parenting two teens the best she can. Her daughter Krissy (Tia May Watts, The Chelsea Detective) has begun secretly chatting online with Toby, whom she believes is a cute high school senior, and Krissy sneaks out one night to meet him at a party. When Mo discovers she's missing the next morning, Mo and her son Robbie start an all-out search for her and alert local detectives. As the case garners media attention, an anonymous tip reveals Krissy is being held captive and exploited in sexually abusive live streams for money on the dark web. Racing to find Krissy before she is murdered, Mo and Robbie track down every clue they can to try to bring Krissy home.

Girl in the Video is the latest movie in Lifetime's successful "Girl In" franchise which included Girl in the Closet, Girl in Rom 13, Girl in the Basement, Girl in the Shed, Girl in the Box and Girl in the Bunker among others.

Girl in the Video is produced by ITN Productions for Lifetime. Ian Russell serves as executive producer. The film is written by Matthew Broughton and Neil Rawles directs. Girl in the Video was filmed in Norfolk, England.

DYING IN PLAIN SIGHT STARRING RAFFA VIRAGO AND NICOLA CORREIA-DAMUDE PREMIERES JANUARY 20

Inspired by true events. Dying in Plain Sight tells the emotional story of overweight high school student Morgan Cruz (Raffa Virago, Fellow Travelers, Macy Murdoch) and her mother Kim (Nicola Correia-Damude, The Boys, Resident Alien) who both harbor dark secrets that lead to devasting circumstances. When Kim leaves her cheating husband, she becomes so focused on "clean eating" that she doesn't notice Morgan has stopped eating altogether. While Morgan receives positive validation for her changing body, privately she begins to experience the terrible side effects of her disorder. Morgan's cries for help seem to fall on deaf ears until she's hospitalized for life-threatening malnutrition, leading Kim to finally realize how her own disordered eating was a terrible influence on Morgan, pushing her to the brink of death.

CONFESSIONS OF A CAM GIRL STARRING MEGAN BEST, CAMILLE SULLIVAN AND JOSH BOGERT PREMIERES JANUARY 27

Inspired by real stories, Confessions of a Cam Girl follows the eighteen-year-old fashion savant Kristen (Megan Best, Dawn) who is set to become the first in her family to graduate college. Her working-class parents are furious when she reveals a plan to attend fashion school instead of college. Her parents refuse to use her college fund for her farfetched dream. Determined to pay for it herself, Kristen secretly creates an online explicit content page to raise $10,000 for dream program. Confident that she can keep her side hustle under wraps, Kristen's secret unravels and threatens not just her future, but the safety of her family as well.

Confessions of a Cam Girl is produced by Sepia Films for Lifetime. Sheri Singer serves as executive producer. Siobhan Devine directs from a script written by Miriam van Emst.

ABDUCTED OFF THE STREET: THE CARLESHA GAITHER STORY STARRING RIELE DOWNS AND KENYA MOORE PREMIERES FEBRUARY 10

Based on a true story, Abducted off the Street: The Carlesha Gaither Story chronicles the abduction of a Philadelphia nurse's aide at the hands of a homicidal predator, and reveals how she fought to survive and created a trail that would ultimately lead to her rescue.

Carlesha (Riele Downs, Bel Aire) was walking home from a family gathering when she is forced into a car at knifepoint. Determined to survive and outsmart her captor, Carlesha leaves clues behind at every opportunity. Meanwhile, Carlesha's mother, Keisha (Kenya Moore, Real Housewives of Atlanta) stops at nothing to find her, making an impassioned plea to the media and working alongside a committed detective to rescue her before it's too late.

Abducted Off The Street: The Carlesha Gaither Story stars Riele Downs (Darby and the Dead, Henry Danger) as Carlesha Freeland-Gaither, Kenya Moore (The Real Housewives of Atlanta) as Keisha, Sam Asante (The Porter) as Delvin, Aiden Devine as Detective Darby, Diana Johnstone as Ana, Danny Waugh as Carl and Dylan Taylor as Officer Montgomery.
