Prime Video Announces New Stand-Up Comedy Special "Jenny Slate: Seasoned Professional"

The highly anticipated comedy special from A24 will premiere February 23 on Prime Video

LOS ANGELES - January 11, 2023 - Critically acclaimed actress, comedian, author and producer Jenny Slate returns to the stage for her new comedy special on Prime Video, Jenny Slate: Seasoned Professional. The one-hour special from A24 will premiere in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide on February 23, 2024.

The highly anticipated special proves that being brave for love is worth it - even when it comes to pushing out a baby, stalking your therapist, or trusting your partner to not destroy you.

The critically acclaimed actress, comedian, producer and New York Times best-selling author is best known for her starring role in A24's Obvious Child and Marcel the Shell with Shoes On.

Slate most recently co-created, co-wrote, co-produced and voiced the titular character of Marcel in A24's Academy Award-nominated film Marcel the Shell with Shoes On. The film premiered in June 2023 and received widespread acclaim including the NBR Award for "Best Animated Feature" and a New York Film Critics Circle Award for "Best Animated Feature" in addition to Academy Award, Golden Globe, BAFTA, and Critics Choice Award nominations.

Slate's other major starring film credits include a starring turn in Prime Video's hit romantic comedy I Want You Back in addition to such films as the Academy Award-winning film Everything Everywhere All At Once and A24's Obvious Child among others.

She is a New York Times best-selling author for her 2019 book, Little Weirds, which is a critically acclaimed collection of non-fiction, personal essays.

Her first stand-up special, Jenny Slate: Stage Fright was released in October 2019 and was nominated for a Critics' Choice Award for "Best Comedy Special." The hour is a mix of stage time, funny stories about adulthood and conversations with family in her childhood home.
