Gold Zone to Guide Viewers to the Best and Most Exciting Live Moments During Paris 2024

Hanson to Open Each Day's Coverage, Followed by Siciliano, with Iseman and Gbajabiamila Co-Hosting Day's Concluding Coverage; Special Guests to Join Hosts Often Throughout the Day

STAMFORD, Conn. - March 20, 2024 - Scott Hanson, Andrew Siciliano, Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila will serve as hosts of the Gold Zone whip-around show, which will stream for the first time live on Peacock during NBCUniversal's coverage of the Olympic Games Paris 2024. Gold Zone will stream live on Peacock from 7 am - 5 pm ET each day from July 27-Aug. 10. The announcement was made by Molly Solomon, Executive Producer and President, NBC Olympics Production.

With up to 40 events happening simultaneously during the Paris Olympic Games, Gold Zone will present viewers with the best and most compelling moments happening at any time. The daily live show will guide fans through the excitement, triumphs, and emotion of the Games, scanning all the events that day to provide viewers with the most exhilarating moments and key races, routines, and finishes as they unfold live. Gold Zone's daily offering will provide viewers with the most comprehensive and all-encompassing live whip-around coverage of any Olympic Games to date.

"The Olympic Games are like no other sporting event with up to 40 competitions happening simultaneously. Given that scale, Gold Zone is designed to be the viewer's best friend, streaming the most important moments in real time," said Solomon. "Never miss a moment or a medal with Gold Zone, and who better to guide viewers through this entertaining presentation than Scott Hanson, who does this every NFL weekend, and Olympic veterans Andrew Siciliano, Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila."

Hanson, the celebrated host of NFL RedZone, will open each day's coverage on Peacock. He has served as the host of NFL RedZone since its inaugural season in 2009, taking viewers through every touchdown and exciting moment live on Sunday afternoons to critical acclaim. He also is a host of NFL Network's on-location coverage of events, including the Super Bowl, NFL Draft, and more. This will be Hanson's first Olympic assignment.

Siciliano, a host and play-by-play announcer for NFL Network and host of the groundbreaking Red Zone Channel on DIRECTV from 2005-2022, will also host Gold Zone hosting duties following Hanson each day. Siciliano hosted NBC Sports' Gold Zone coverage for two Olympic Games (2014 Sochi Winter Olympics and 2016 Rio Olympics).

Iseman and Gbajabiamila, co-hosts of American Ninja Warrior on NBC, will co-host each day's closing Gold Zone coverage following Siciliano. Iseman, working his third Olympics with NBC Sports, and Gbajabiamila, in his second Olympics, served as hosts of Peacock's Tokyo Olympics morning show, Tokyo Live, in 2021. Iseman was also a host on Peacock's coverage of the Beijing Olympics in 2022. Gbajabiamila is co-host of The Talk.

The hosts will often be joined by special guests throughout the day. Additional hosts and programming details for NBCU's Paris Olympics' Gold Zone program will be announced soon. Gold Zone will also be available on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app via "TV Everywhere" for customers with pay-TV subscriptions.

Peacock will be the streaming home of the 2024 Paris Olympics, providing fans with the most comprehensive Olympic destination in U.S. media history. In a Summer Games first for Peacock, it will stream every sport and event, including all 329 medal events, and will feature full-event replays; all NBC programming; curated video clips; virtual channels; exclusive original programming; and more.
