The Record-Breaking Season Two of "The Real Murders of Atlanta" Reached 9.5M Total Viewers Across Platforms

NEW YORK, NY - AUGUST 5, 2024 - Oxygen, the home of high quality, true crime programming, explores some of Atlanta's most gripping murder cases. From the untimely passing of world champion boxer, Vernon Forrest, to horrific killings of beloved community members that rocked the friends and families left behind. The docuseries returns on Saturday, August 17 at 9:00pm ET/PT, following the third season premiere of "Killer Relationship with Faith Jenkins."  

The second season of "The Real Murders of Atlanta" reached new milestones across cable and streaming, with 9.5 million total viewers across platforms, up 8% from season one. On Peacock, season two grew by 13% in its First-35 Day account reach compared to the first season. "The Real Murders of Atlanta" digs deep into the crimes that robbed the vibrant city and surrounding area of some of its most cherished citizens and features those with direct connections to the cases.  Victims' loved ones, case investigators, witnesses and detectives give firsthand accounts of the lives and movements of the deceased and the intensity of the efforts to bring their killers to justice. Each episode this season explores cases that have shaken the Altana community involving local celebrities, suburban residents, and heartbroken families.

Saturday, August 17 at 9:00 pm ET/PT -- "Death Outside the Ring"

When world champion boxer Vernon Forrest is gunned down in cold blood, all hands are on deck to bring justice for the fallen Atlanta icon. APD detectives must figure out if this shooting was random or a result of the victim's celebrity status.   

Saturday, Augst 24 at 9:00pm ET/PT -- "Death in Powder Springs"

After a 23-year-old suburban Atlanta mother is shot and left for dead in front of her infant daughter, investigators unravel a complicated scheme involving someone close to the victim, shocking the Powder Springs community.   

Saturday, August 31 at 9:00pm ET/PT -- "Voice from the Grave"

A retired Delta employee is found stabbed dozens of times in her picturesque suburban home, stunning the Atlanta area. As detectives search for clues, they discover a note the victim left just before she died that leads them to her killer. 

Saturday, September 7 at 9:00pm ET/PT -- "A Mother Murdered"

Twin daughters find their mother stabbed to death in their quaint suburban home, and the pressure for detectives to deliver justice is on. But when the shocking truth behind the murder comes out, the Atlanta community is left stunned and heartbroken.
