LOS ANGELES, CA (September 9, 2024) - Lifetime will premiere six new original films for the fall Ripped from the Headlines movie slate, featuring an impressive lineup of gripping stories and unforgettable performances with notable stars including Heather Locklear, Ana Ortiz, Lyndsy Fonseca, Jackie Cruz, Sheila E., Karrueche Tran and others. New movies will air Saturdays at 8pm/7c.

The Girl Who Wasn't Dead (October 5th) stars Lyndsy Fonseca (9-1-1: Lonestar), Emma Tremblay (Supergirl) and Kyle Clark (Mommy Meanest) and is inspired by true events of a girl who disappeared and was feared dead, only to remerge from the shadows years later. The following week, Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty, Devious Maids), Jasmine Vega and Sheila E. star in Nobody Dumps My Daughter (October 12th), inspired by the true story of an overly intrusive mother whose obsession with her daughter's relationship takes a dark turn. Based on a true story of adoption, incest and the ultimate betrayal, Husband, Father, Killer: The Alyssa Paldl Story (October 19th) will star Jackie Cruz (Orange Is the New Black), Matreya Scarrwener (V.C. Andrews Heaven) and Matthew MacCaull (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters). Heather Locklear (Melrose Place) and Emilie Ullerup headline the disturbing Mormon Mom Gone Wrong: The Ruby Franke Story (wt) (October 26th)of a Utah mom of six whose charismatic YouTube persona hid what sinister behaviors happened behind the cameras. The following week (November 2nd), Jorja Cadence and Elise Bauman are estranged Amish best friends who must band together when one of their daughters is abducted in A Kidnapping in Amish Country, and to close the slate the following week (November 9th), Karrueche Tran (Claws), Blair Penner (Wayward Pines) and Ted Cole (Murdaugh Murders: The Movie), star in Searching for a Serial Killer: The Regina Smith Story (wt), about a single mother and rookie Dallas police officer who defied all expectations and caught the notorious Eyeball Killer.

These films join the previously announced movies, Buried Alive and Survived (September 21st)starring Eva Marcille, and He Slid into Her DMs (September 28th) with Courtney Thorne Smith.

A Lifetime Original movie inspired by true events,The Girl Who Wasn't Dead tells the story of 15-year-old Erica (Emma Tremblay) who vanishes without a trace. Authorities believed Erica may be the victim of a local serial killer, but her mother, Carrie (Lydnsey Fonseca) refused to believe the worst. In an incredible turn of events, Erica emerges from the shadows at her own murder trial, three years after her disappearance. Erica wasn't abducted, but had run away and chosen to live in seclusion with her 21-year-old boyfriend, Andrew (Kyle Clark), less than a mile from her mother's house. Banned from seeing her older boyfriend, Erica chose to spend her teenage years hiding from visitors and concealed behind drawn curtains.

The Girl Who Wasn't Dead is produced by NSM Productions with Tim Johnson serving as executive producer. Simone Stock directs from a script by Yuri Baranovsky and Angela Gulner.

In the Lifetime original movie Nobody Dumps My Daughter, after Jimmy breaks up with Theresa (Jasmine Vega), her over-bearing mother, Mary (Ana Ortiz), becomes obsessed with mending their relationship after learning that Jimmy took her daughter's virginity. Determined to reunite the couple, Mary does everything she can to convince Jimmy to change his mind... including bribing him. When her tactics fail, Mary becomes desperate and her meddling ways turn to murderous when she enlists the services of a fortune teller named Anna (Sheila E.) and hitman to murder Jimmy in attempts to reclaim her daughter's purity.

In the Lifetime original movie Husband, Father, Killer: The Alyssa Pladl Story, Alyssa (Jackie Cruz) and Steven (Matthew MacCaull) have an intense relationship from the start and move in together when Alyssa is an impressionable teen. After they have a daughter of their own, their path takes a dark turn when Steven becomes physically abusive toward the infant. Alyssa senses the situation is dire and puts the child up for adoption... little does she know, 18 years later their daughter, now named Katie (Matreya Scarrwener), would seek them out. After an instant connection when they reunite, Steven convinces Katie to move in with him, Alyssa and their two young daughters, promising her opportunities to pursue her passions.
