KARDEA BROWN SIGNS NEW EXCLUSIVE DEAL WITH FOOD NETWORK

NEW YORK - October 2, 2024 - Food Network has struck a new exclusive deal with Kardea Brown that will include Brown continuing in her role as judge on Spring Baking Championship, a popular series that reached more than 11.9 million total cross platform viewers last season across Food Network, Max and discovery+. Brown will also co-host another fan-favorite, Kids Baking Championship, which is set to return with the Halloween-themed special, Kids Baking Championship: Scary Good (premiering Monday, October 7th at 8pm ET/PT) and the holiday-themed Kids Baking Championship: Frosting the Snowman (premiering Monday, December 2nd at 9pm ET/PT), plus an all-new full Kids Baking Championship season at the top of the new year.

Kardea Brown is a contemporary Southern cook born in Charleston, South Carolina. She is of Gullah/Geechee descent, a term used to describe a distinct group of African Americans living in coastal areas of South Carolina and Georgia who have managed to preserve much of their West African language, culture and cuisine. Kardea created the pop-up New Gullah Supper Club, where the menu plays homage to the dishes her grandmother and mother passed down to her. She is the Emmy(R)-nominated host of Delicious Miss Brown, co-host of Kids Baking Championship and judge on Spring Baking Championship and Holiday Wars.
