"WATSON," THE NEW MEDICAL MYSTERY DRAMA STARRING MORRIS CHESTNUT, TO PREMIERE FOLLOWING THE AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, SUNDAY, JAN. 26, ON CBS
CBS announced today that WATSON, the new medical mystery series starring Morris Chestnut, will premiere after the AFC Championship Game, Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET; 9:00-10:00 PM, CT; 8:00-9:00 PM, MT; 7:00-8:00 PM, PT)** on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+*. **(Start time is approximate after post-game coverage.)
WATSON will begin airing in its regular time period beginning Sunday, Feb. 16 (10:00-11:00pm ET/PT).
WATSON takes place six months after the death of the titular character's friend and partner Sherlock Holmes at the hands of Moriarty. The show stars Morris Chestnut as Dr. John Watson, who resumes his medical career as the head of a clinic dedicated to treating rare disorders. Watson's old life isn't done with him, though - Moriarty and Watson are set to write their own chapter of a story that has fascinated audiences for more than a century. Watson is a medical show with a strong investigative spine, featuring a modern version of one of history's greatest detectives as he turns his attention from solving crimes to solving medical mysteries.
WATSON also stars Eve Harlow, Peter Mark Kendall, Ritchie Coster, Inga Schlingmann and Rochelle Aytes.
WATSON is produced by CBS Studios. Craig Sweeny wrote the premiere episode and serves as showrunner and executive producer. Additional executive producers include Morris Chestnut; Sallie Patrick; Larry Teng; Shäron Moalem MD, PhD; Aaron Kaplan for Kapital Entertainment; and Brian Morewitz. Larry Teng also directed the first two episodes. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
*Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers will have access to stream live via the live feed of their local CBS affiliate on the service, as well as on-demand. Paramount+ Essential subscribers will not have the option to stream live, but will have access to on-demand the day after the episode airs.
