FOX COLLEGE BASKETBALL FRIDAY Launches Friday, Dec. 13
Los Angeles - With the 2024-25 college basketball season well underway, FOX Sports serves up an elite slate of games across the BIG EAST, Big Ten, Big 12 and Mountain West conferences. The network's expanded offerings include a jam-packed Thanksgiving week schedule, an additional primetime window - FOX COLLEGE BASKETBALL FRIDAY - new women's hoops showcases on the FOX broadcast network and more.
Thanksgiving Feast on FOX
Thanksgiving week starts off with a slam dunk featuring a Top 5 women's matchup between No. 1 South Carolina and No. 5 UCLA on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 4:00 PM EST on FS1.
On Monday, Nov. 25, the men's Fort Myers Tip-Off Tournament begins on FS1, featuring Michigan vs. Virginia Tech at 6:00 PM ET and South Carolina vs. Xavier at 8:30 PM ET. The tournament continues on Wednesday, Nov. 27 with the third-place contest and championship game airing at 6:00 PM ET and 8:30 PM ET on FS1, respectively.
On Thanksgiving Day, leading into the network's presentation of the New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys, FOX Sports highlights the women's side of the Fort Myers Tip-Off, with South Carolina vs. No. 8 Iowa State at 1:30 PM ET on FOX.
Later that day, the Rady Children's Invitational tips off on FS1 featuring No. 6 Purdue vs. NC State at 3:00 PM ET and Ole Miss vs. BYU at 5:30 PM ET. The action continues Black Friday on FOX, with the third-place matchup airing at 3:30 PM ET and the championship game at 6:00 PM ET.
Elite Women's Slate on FOX
Following a record-setting slate of regular season women's matchups on broadcast television in 2023-24, FOX Sports continues to elevate women's sports with the launch of two new women's college hoops showcases and a massive lineup of highly anticipated matchups on the FOX broadcast network.
First up is the WOMEN'S CHAMPIONS CLASSIC, a primetime doubleheader featuring some of the nation's top women's programs with No. 2 UConn, No. 25 Louisville, Iowa and Tennessee competing Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. The competition tips off with Tennessee vs Iowa at 7:00 PM ET followed by Louisville vs. UConn at 9:00 PM ET on FOX.
The CORETTA SCOTT KING CLASSIC, a showcase formed to honor the late author and activist, will highlight four distinguished women's programs in a doubleheader January 20, 2025, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Airing on the FOX broadcast network, UCLA takes on No. 18 Baylor at 3:00 PM ET, while No. 4 Texas takes on No. 11 Maryland at 5:00 PM ET from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
Additional highlights on the FOX broadcast network include: UCLA at Indiana, UConn at Creighton, UConn at Iowa, No. 12 Ohio State at No. 3 USC, No. 10 K-State at No. 13 West Virginia, Iowa State at Baylor and USC at UCLA.
FOX COLLEGE BASKETBALL FRIDAY & FOX PRIMETIME HOOPS
This season, FOX Sports capitalizes on the success of FOX COLLEGE FOOTBALL FRIDAY by extending its Friday night primetime window, launching FOX COLLEGE BASKETBALL FRIDAY. Complementing Saturday night's FOX PRIMETIME HOOPS window, the Friday night package features some of the sport's top rivalries.
Beginning Saturday, Dec. 7, FOX PRIMETIME HOOPS runs for 15 consecutive weeks culminating with the BIG EAST Men's Championship on FOX. Package highlights include the inaugural Women's Champions Classic, No. 3 Gonzaga vs. No. 2 UConn, No. 3 USC at No. 2 UConn (Women's), Gonzaga vs. UCLA, and No. 12 Duke vs. No. 25 Illinois.
Launching Friday, Dec. 13, FOX COLLEGE BASKETBALL FRIDAY will feature 13 high-profile matchups starting with No. 16 Indiana at Nebraska and concluding with the BIG EAST Men's semifinal matchups on FOX. Other top games include Michigan State at Ohio State, Indiana at Purdue, No. 22 St. John's at UConn, UCLA at Indiana and Michigan State at Michigan.
