Clara Galle, Claudia Salas and Paula Usero Star in 'That Night,' the New Netflix Series Based on the Bestselling Novel by Gillian McAllister

Netflix has announced the start of production for That Night, its new series starring Clara Galle (Raising Voices, Olympo), Claudia Salas (Elite, Salvador), and Paula Usero (Las Abogadas, To Love is Forever), based on the Sunday Times bestselling novel by Gillian McAllister, published in 10 languages across the world.

During a family vacation in the Dominican Republic, Elena (Clara Galle) accidentally hits a man with her car. Desperate and frightened, she calls her sisters, Paula (Claudia Salas) and Cris (Paula Usero), asking for help. Upon arrival, they must decide how to handle the accident, as they cannot bear the thought of their younger sister going to jail, leaving her only child without a mother. How far will they be willing to go to help protect their family?

About the adaptation of the novel, McAllister explains that "I'm so honoured that Netflix Spain are filming a series based on my novel That Night which asks the question: how far would you go for your sibling? Would you lie for them? Would you commit a crime for them? And - finally - would you bury a body with them and, if you did, what would the fallout be? This novel set people talking in the UK and I can't wait for it to reach screens across the world with the amazing cast."

The series, based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Gillian McAllister and produced by Txintxua Films S.L. for Netflix, is created and written by Jason George (Narcos, Into The Night), with Marian Fernández Pascal (Intimacy, Amama) in charge of the executive production and Lara Sendim (God's Crooked Lines, The Innocent) acting as creative producer. Jorge Dorado (Mindscape, The Head) and Liliana Torres (Mamífera, Kimeres) will lead the direction of this project. The filming, which has just begun, will take place between the Dominican Republic and Spain
