'World News Tonight' Anchor and Managing Editor David Muir Will Lead the Network's Comprehensive Coverage, Featuring ABC News' Powerhouse Political Team, Beginning Sunday, March 2

ABC News announced today special coverage of President Donald J. Trump's address to a joint session of Congress and the Democratic response on Tuesday, March 4, from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. EST on ABC and ABC News Live, the 24/7 streaming news network available on Disney+, Hulu and other digital platforms. "World News Tonight" anchor and managing editor David Muir will lead comprehensive coverage, including previewing remarks, reporting on the highlights and providing analysis following the speeches. Muir will be joined by ABC News' powerhouse political team, including ABC News Live "Prime" anchor and "World News Tonight" Sunday anchor Linsey Davis, chief Washington correspondent and "This Week" co-anchor Jonathan Karl, chief global affairs correspondent and "This Week" co-anchor Martha Raddatz, chief White House correspondent Mary Bruce, chief justice correspondent Pierre Thomas, chief business, economics and technology correspondent Rebecca Jarvis, senior political correspondent Rachel Scott, national correspondent Mireya Villarreal and multiplatform reporter Jay O'Brien. On Monday, March 3, and Tuesday, March 4, Muir will anchor special editions of "World News Tonight" from Washington, D.C., and "Nightline" will have a special edition with co-anchor Byron Pitts from Washington, D.C., on Tuesday night. On Sunday, March 2, anchor George Stephanopoulos will preview Tuesday's events on "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" and discuss the major issues facing the administration.

On Wednesday, March 5, "Good Morning America" and "GMA3" will cover highlights from the night before and provide analysis of the address and response, and "The View" will discuss in Hot Topics.

ABC News Live will simulcast the network's pre- and post-show and the address and response. Throughout the day, ABC News Live will feature interviews with lawmakers from both parties ahead of the address. Davis will anchor a special edition of "Prime" from Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, March 4, leading up to the address and featuring guest interviews and analysis with ABC News' political correspondents, experts and contributors, including Villarreal and O'Brien, and correspondents Elizabeth Shulze and Alex Presha. Following the address, live coverage will stream for an additional hour at 11 p.m. EST for more context and analysis following network coverage.

ABC News Digital will have wall-to-wall coverage, including a live blog with up-to-the-minute commentary on the major themes of the address and response from ABC News' team of experts, notable moments and key takeaways from the evening, and a fact check. 538 will have data-driven previews and reactions to the address, putting both the substance and word choices of the speech within a historical context.

ABC News Radio will provide live coverage anchored by correspondent Alex Stone, joined by national correspondent Steven Portnoy and White House correspondent Karen Travers, reporting from Washington D.C. Coverage will include robust analysis of the address once it concludes and multiple minute-long special reports during the address and the morning after. ABC News flagship daily podcast "Start Here" will have a special edition on Wednesday, March 5, with host Brad Mielke breaking down the biggest moments from the night before with the powerhouse political team.

ABC NewsOne, the affiliate news service of ABC News, will be reporting live from Capitol Hill with ABC News multiplatform reporters Christiane Cordero and Nicole D'Antonio. NewsOne provides news content and services for more than 200 ABC affiliates and international news partners.
