Get Ready for Even More Action! Netflix Has Confirmed the Third Season of the Brazilian Original Series 'Criminal Code'

São Paulo, July 3, 2025 - Many more adventures await Suellen (Maeve Jinkings), Benício (Rômulo Braga) and Isaac (Alex Nader)! On Tuesday, June 3, Netflix announced the third season of Criminal Code, the police blockbuster that won over audiences in Brazil and beyond. Fans can expect even more intense scenes and conflicts - after all, last season's finale made it clear that new showdowns between cops and criminals (not to mention revenge!) are on the way.

The second season of Criminal Code has already solidified the show's status as a global phenomenon. Since June 4, it has reached top positions in Netflix's Top 10 in Brazil and abroad. In addition to Brazil, where it has remained in the rankings for nearly a month, the show also ranked among the ten most-watched in countries such as Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Portugal, and Nigeria.

"Every time we announce a new season, we celebrate a major achievement with our audience and our partners. It's the result of a tremendous team effort driven by the tireless dedication of Paranoïd and incredible talent in writing, directing, producing, and acting. Continuing to invest in these complex narrative universes also reinforces our commitment to Brazilian audiovisual productions and to stories that grow alongside their audiences. We want to keep backing projects that, like Criminal Code, have the potential to endure, with plots that have a profound impact on the characters' lives," says Haná Vaisman, Director of Scripted Series at Netflix Brazil.

"It's incredibly emotional to return to the Criminal Code universe, to revisit the places, characters, and stories of our tri-border region. It's a new opportunity to reciprocate the love people have shown for the series. Criminal Code always delivers surprises - so here we go again," adds Heitor Dhalia, the show's director and showrunner.

Produced by Paranoïd, Criminal Code is available on Netflix. The second season was created by Heitor Dhalia, Bernardo Barcellos, and Leonardo Levis; directed by Heitor Dhalia, Pedro Morelli, and Vellas; and executive produced by Manoel Rangel and Egisto Betti. It stars Alex Nader, Maeve Jinkings, Rômulo Braga, and Thomás Aquino, among others.
