Kicking off on September 13, starring Keana Lyn Bastidas (The Hardy Boys), Jon McLaren (When Hope Calls, Crossroad Springs), and five-time Golden Globe(R) nominee Marilu Henner (Taxi, LA Story, Broadway's Chicago) star in A Husband to Die For: The Lisa Aguilar Story (working title). Based on a true story, the movie details the horrific story of a pregnant woman who is savagely attacked in her home and left for dead, only to discover it was all orchestrated by her very own husband. The following week on September 20, Sam Trammell (True Blood), Brielle Robillard (Place of Bones) and Ashley Jones (True Blood, The Bold and the Beautiful) star in The Girl Who Survived: The Alina Thompson, the true story of a teen who was saved from being the next victim of a serial killer by her father's quick instincts. The Ripped from the Headlines slate also includes the biopic, I Was a Child Bride: The Courtney Stodden Story, following the provocative tale of then 16-year-old Courtney Stodden who married actor Doug Hutchinson, who was 51 at the time and her journey to finding her own voice again on September 27. Holly Barrett (Life in Pieces) stars as Stodden while Doug Savant (Melrose Place) takes on the role of Hutchinson. Maggie Lawson (Psych) portrays Courtney's mother, Krista, whose own fractured dreams and decisions shaped the path Courtney was pushed to follow. All movies air Saturdays at 8p/7c.

ABOUT A HUSBAND TO DIE FOR: THE LISA AGUILAR STORY (wt)

A Husband to Die For: The Lisa Aguilar Story follows Lisa Aguilar (Keana Lyn Bastidas), a bright and loving woman who is newly married and expecting her first child with husband Darren (Jon McLaren). Life seems picture-perfect as Darren, who dreams of becoming a professional golfer, appears devoted and driven. But Lisa soon discovers he's living a dark double life. When she is viciously attacked in her own home, and she and her unborn baby are left for dead, Lisa miraculously survives and begins to unravel a horrifying truth: the man she trusted most may have tried to kill her. With the help of her grandmother Gabrielle (Marilu Henner), her devoted parents, and a determined legal team, Lisa embarks on a courageous journey to protect her child, seek justice and rebuild her life from the ground up. Darren ultimately pled guilty for attempted murder.

A Husband to Die For: The Lisa Aguilar Story is produced by 1Department Entertainment in association with Lighthouse Pictures and Wishing Floor Films. Jameson Parker and Gemma Martini serve as executive producers for Lighthouse Pictures and Danielle von Zerneck executive produces for Wishing Floor Films. The film is directed by David Weaver from a script by Walter Klenhard. Lisa Aguilar consulted on the film.

ABOUT THE GIRL WHO SURVIVED: THE ALINA THOMPSON STORY

Based on a true story, The Girl Who Survived follows 15-year-old Alina Thompson (Brielle Robillard), an aspiring model in Los Angeles during the '80s, who gets caught in the dangerous web of a serial killer. Without the knowledge of her parents, Carl (Sam Trammell) and Nancy (Ashley Jones), Alina sneaks off to attend an amateur photo casting call where she meets up-and-coming photographer William Bradford (Steve Byers). Unbeknownst to Alina, William is a serial killer hiding in plain sight, using his charms to lure aspiring young women into secluded photo shoots that end in unspeakable violence. After their meeting, Bradford becomes obsessed with Alina and her beauty and ultimately sets his sights on her as his next victim. But thanks to the protective instincts of Carl and a series of fateful twists, Alina manages to survive, where many others did not.

The Girl Who Survived: The Alina Thompson Story is produced by Steve Boisvert & Brendan McNeill in association with Studio TF1 America for Lifetime. Pierre David, Tîm Johnson, Meghan Hooper White and Ashley Jones serve as executive producers. The movie is directed by Michelle Ouellet based off a script written by Christine Conradt.

ABOUT I WAS A CHILD BRIDE: THE COURTNEY STODDEN STORY

As part of Lifetime's provocative I WAS / I AM franchise which spotlights the untold stories of women reclaiming their narratives, I Was a Child Bride: The Courtney Stodden Story dives into the controversial story of Courtney Stodden (Holly Barrett) a teenager catapulted into international notoriety after marrying 51-year-old actor Doug Hutchison (Doug Savant) at just sixteen.

Narrated by the real-life Courtney Stodden and told through her perspective, the deeply personal biopic chronicles the controversial and emotionally complex journey of Courtney. Encouraged by her mother Krista's (Maggie Lawson) dreams of fame for her, Courtney was thrust into the spotlight at just sixteen years old when she married actor Doug Hutchinison, a man who is more than three decades her senior. The movie is a story of resilience and survival of a young girl coming of age under a harsh public eye whose voice was nearly lost. More than a retelling of tabloid headlines, I Was A Child Bride is an exploration of childhood exploitation, trauma and transformation.

I Was a Child Bride: The Courtney Stodden Story is produced by MGM Alternative and Safier Entertainment for Lifetime. Courtney Stodden, Jared Safier, Barry Poznick and Kitty Gambel executive produce. D'Angela Procter directed from a script by Kim Barker.
