Based on the internationally bestselling picture books from Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen, the award-winning kids and family series returns with the voice talents of Yvette Nicole Brown, Harvey Guillén, Scott Adsit and Gideon Adlon

Today, Apple TV+ announced season two of the clever, funny and inspiring stop-motion animated series "Shape Island," to debut globally on August 29, 2025. Based on the internationally bestselling "Shapes" picture book trilogy by Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen, the second season is set to return with more imaginative adventures for kids and families.

The Children's and Family Emmy Award-winning series from Apple TV+ takes place on a charming island and invites viewers to join serious Square, intrepid Circle and tricky Triangle as they dig up some fun, search for answers and build on their friendship - all while learning how to navigate each other's differences. "Shape Island" shows kids that friendship can take many shapes.

Season two features the familiar voices of Yvette Nicole Brown ("Frog and Toad") as the narrator, Harvey Guillén ("Puss in Boots: The Last Wish") as Square, Scott Adsit ("Big Hero 6") as Triangle and Gideon Adlon ("Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths") as Circle.

"Shape Island" was co-created by book authors Barnett and Klassen, who serve as executive producers. Barnett was recently appointed the National Ambassador for Young People's Literature by the Library of Congress. Kelli Bixler and Drew Hodges ("Tumble Leaf") from the Emmy Award-winning studio Bix Pix Entertainment also serve as executive producers. Ryan Pequin serves as co-executive producer and head writer.

The exciting slate of recent offerings for kids and families on Apple TV+ features the recently released music-driven animated comedy series "BE@RBRICK" from DreamWorks Animation; "Goldie," inspired by Emily Brundige's award-winning 2019 short film of the same name; Peanuts series "Camp Snoopy"; the second season of beloved animated series "Frog and Toad," based on the Caldecott and Newbery Honor-winning books; celebrated kids and family series "Yo Gabba GabbaLand!" inspired by the hit, Emmy Award-nominated cultural phenomenon "Yo Gabba Gabba!"; "Me," an elevated cinematic coming-of-age story from Barry L.
