Love at First Bite, Across Centuries: 'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty' Premieres August 23

One Chef. One Tyrant. One Royal Mess.

Netflix is serving up a bold new twist on K-romcom with Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, launching on August 23. Starring Lim Yoon-a (King the Land, Big Mouth) and rising star Lee Chae-min (Crash Course in Romance, High Cookie), this high-stakes fantasy rom-com blends sizzling chemistry, time-slip drama, and mouthwatering royal intrigue.

Set in a dazzling blend of past and present, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty follows Chef Yeon Jiyoung (Lim Yoon-a), a perfectionist French-trained chef at the peak of her culinary career, who is suddenly transported back in time to the royal palace. There, she's forced to cook for an infamously temperamental tyrant, King Yeonhui (Lee Chae-min), a ruler with a killer palate and a deadly temper.

Lim Yoon-a dazzles as Yeon Jiyoung, a modern woman caught in a cutthroat world of palace politics, survival cooking, and unexpected romance. Her mission? Survive the royal kitchen, win over the impossible King, and maybe, just maybe, rewrite the future.

Lee Chae-min commands the screen as King Yeonhui, a ruler whose sharp mind and sharper tongue make him both feared and misunderstood. With an unparalleled sense of taste and zero tolerance for mediocrity, his court lives in fear of his next meal. But when a fiery new chef enters his palace, the king's taste buds - and perhaps his heart - begin to change.

Blending rich visuals, palate-pleasing food cinematography, and sharp-witted romantic tension, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty is a survival love story with bite. Directed by Chang Tae-yoo (My Love from the Star), the series marks another standout addition to Netflix's lineup of must-watch Korean dramas.

Bon Appétit, Your Majesty premieres August 23, only on Netflix.

Character Description

Lim Yoon-a as Chef Yeon Jiyoung: A no-nonsense chef with Michelin-star grit. One minute she's plating foie gras, the next she's navigating ancient royal kitchens. She doesn't kneel to kings - but she might just change one.

Lee Chae-min as King Lee Heon: A cold-blooded ruler with a god-tier sense of taste. He distrusts everyone, punishes failure without mercy, and rules the palace with an iron palate. Can anyone cook their way into his heart?
