NEW YORK - September 3, 2025 - Today, Prime Video announced an October 9 premiere date for Saquon, which coincides with the highly anticipated Thursday Night Football matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants. This feature-length documentary - from executive producer Martin Scorsese - chronicles Saquon Barkley's journey to Super Bowl glory with the Philadelphia Eagles, showcasing both his resilience through injury and contract disputes as an elite NFL running back, and his unwavering character as a devoted father, husband, and friend whose self-belief never wavered on or off the field. Saquon will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide and is the latest addition to the Prime membership. Prime members enjoy savings, convenience, and entertainment all in a single membership.
When Saquon Barkley hoisted the Lombardi Trophy in Philadelphia Eagles green, it marked the perfect culmination of a journey defined by unwavering self-belief. This feature-length documentary gives viewers a firsthand account of Barkley's journey by utilizing five years of video diaries recorded by Saquon as he navigated his career's most challenging chapters: methodically battling back from ACL surgery with the same explosive power that defines his playing style, while enduring tense contract negotiations with the team that drafted him, ultimately leading him to a bitter division rival. But the heart of this film beats strongest away from the stadium, where Saquon's identity as a father, husband, and friend reveals a man whose priorities transcend yardage and contracts. Through intimate footage spanning five years, this definitive portrait showcases an athlete who never doubted his abilities, even when the outside world questioned what would come next.
Presented by Prime Video Sports, Skydance Sports, and Expanded Media, Saquon is produced by NFL Films, LBI Entertainment and Vision26 Studios. Saquon is directed by Alexander Pappas and executive produced by Martin Scorsese; Jesse Sisgold, Jason T. Reed, and Jon Weinbach of Skydance Sports; Ross Ketover, Keith Cossrow, Ken Rodgers, and Jessica Boddy of NFL Films; Rick Yorn, Ken Katz, Julie Yorn, and Ron Burkle of LBI Entertainment. Patrick Walmsley, Mason Eways and Shannon Furman serve as producers.
