Disney Entertainment Television (DET), Disney+ and Hulu today announced the launch of a new companion video podcast slate, designed to deepen fans' connections to their favorite TV shows and keep them engaged between episodes. The video podcasts will feature hosted conversations with the creatives and casts as they recap each episode, share behind-the-scenes anecdotes and give fans a deeper dive into the storylines, characters and series itself. Episodes will live on Disney streaming platforms domestically including Disney+, Hulu, and Hulu on Disney+ and will be accessible via the series' page. Podcast episodes will also be available via YouTube and will be distributed through audio channels in partnership with ABC News Audio.

Programming kicks off with the debut of the companion podcast for Hulu and 20th Television's critically acclaimed and Emmy(R) Award-winning comedy series "Only Murders in the Building." The podcast will drop Tuesday, Sept. 9, coinciding with the show's Season 5 launch, with new episodes dropping weekly timed to each series episode release.

The "'Only Murders in the Building' Official Podcast," hosted and executive produced by series star Michael Cyril Creighton, will unpack each episode of the upcoming season through never-before-heard stories, hidden details and hilarious on-set moments that celebrate the mystery, comedy and charm of the Arconia. Guests include series showrunner and executive producer John Hoffman, and stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Christoph Waltz, Jane Lynch and Keegan Michael Key, among others.

"We built this slate of companion video podcasts to give our fans even more ways to connect more deeply with the shows they love," said Direct-to-Consumer & Disney Entertainment Television Marketing President Shannon Ryan. "These are like a backstage pass for their favorite series, and we can't wait to give fans the opportunity to expand their viewing experience, go behind the scenes with our creators and casts, and continue the conversation beyond each episode in an engaging and entertaining new way."

Podcast episodes will drop in tandem with the show's release, with video available on Disney+, Hulu, Hulu on Disney+ and YouTube, domestically. Audio will be distributed on Spotify, Apple Podcast, SiriusXM, iHeart Radio, TuneIn, Amazon Music and Pandora.

Additional companion podcasts for Disney's hit TV series will include fan-favorite ballroom competition series "Dancing with the Stars"; upcoming limited series "Murdaugh: Death in the Family," inspired by true events and hosted by the original "Murdaugh Murders" podcast creators, Mandy Matney and Liz Farrell; Emmy-nominated breakout drama "Paradise"; Emmy-winning Disney+ Original series "Percy Jackson and the Olympians"; hit drama "Tell Me Lies"; and Emmy-nominated reality phenomenon "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives," with more podcasts in development.
