David Ajala Joins "Law & Order" This Season as a Series Regular

David Ajala joins "Law & Order" this season as a series regular playing a detective alongside Reid Scott's character, Det. Vincent Riley.

BIO

London-born David Ajala is best known for his portrayal of Cleveland Booker in "Star Trek: Discovery."

He can next be seen in Netflix's upcoming drama "The Woman in Cabin 10," alongside Keira Knightley, Guy Pearce and Hannah Waddingham, about a journalist aboard a luxury yacht who witnesses a passenger thrown overboard, only to be told that it never happened.

Recently, he starred in the mystery thriller series "Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue," opposite Eric McCormack. He also appeared in the BBC drama series "The Jetty."

Ajala recurred on CW's "Supergirl" and co-starred in SYFY's adaptation of the George R.R. Martin's 1980 novella "Nightflyers." Other series on his resume include "Black Box" "Falling Water," "Trexxand Flipside," "Law & Order: UK," "Death in Paradise," "Silent Witness" and the wildly popular "Dr. Who."

His film roles include "The Dark Knight," "The Fast & the Furious 6," "Jupiter Ascending," "Starred Up," "Payback Season," "One Day" and "Kill Command."

Ajala began his career performing with the Royal Shakespeare Company at the Courtyard Theater in Stratford-upon-Avon and most recently starred on the West End in "My Master Builder," opposite Ewan McGregor and Elizabeth Debicki. He has performed in productions of "The Witness," "Hamlet" and "A Midsummer Night's Dream."

ABOUT "LAW & ORDER"

The 25th season premieres Thursday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. ET/ET on NBC and streaming the next day on Peacock.
