LIFETIME EXPANDS 'TERRY MCMILLAN PRESENTS' BANNER WITH NEW MOVIE, PREACH, PRAY, LOVE STARRING KARRUECHE TRAN AND MARK J.P. HOOD AS PART OF NETWORKS' LOVE OF A LIFETIME ROMANCE SLATE TOBIAS TRUVILLION, B. SIMONE, REGINAE CARTER, AND DA BRAT ROUND OUT THE ENSEMBLE CAST

LOS ANGELES, CA (SEPTEMBER 24, 2025) - Lifetime announces its latest original film, Terry McMillan Presents: Preach, Pray, Love, expanding the Terry McMillan Presents franchise for the network. Starring Emmy(R) Award-Winning actress Karrueche Tran (Searching for a Serial Killer) as Charlisa "Charlie" Jones and Mark J.P. Hood (Abducted at an HBCU: A Black Girl Missing Story) as Pastor Kyrus Owens, this unlikely romance premieres Saturday, November 8 at 8/7c as part of the network's Love of a Lifetime programming event.

Terry McMillan Presents: Preach, Pray, Love follows Charlie Jones (Tran), a platinum-selling rapper whose provocative persona has fueled her career - and landed her in more than a little trouble. After a stint in prison, Charlie's court-ordered community service places her in the path of Pastor Kyrus Owens (Hood), a charismatic and devoted minister fundraising to build a new home for his congregation. Despite their worlds being miles apart, an undeniable spark forms between them. As their romance blossoms, Pastor Owens' congregation begins to question his commitment to the church, while Charlie struggles to reconcile her edgy public image with her growing desire for redemption. With both of their careers and reputations on the line, the couple must rely on honesty, prayer, and love to bridge the divide - and in the process, win over each other's communities.

The ensemble cast also features Tobias Truvillion (Lust: A Seven Deadly Sins Story), B. Simone (Harlem), Reginae Carter (Pride & Prejudice: Atlanta), and Da Brat (Envy: A Seven Deadly Sins Story).

This marks the fourth film in the 'Terry McMillan Presents' franchise, following last year's successes - Tempted by Love starring Garcelle Beauvais and Forever starring Taye Diggs and Meagan Good.

Terry McMillan is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Waiting to Exhale, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, A Day Late and a Dollar Short, The Interruption of Everything, I Almost Forgot About You, and the editor of Breaking Ice: An Anthology of Contemporary African-American Fiction. Four of Ms. McMillan's novels have been made into movies: Waiting to Exhale (Twentieth Century Fox, 1995); How Stella Got Her Groove Back (Twentieth Century Fox, 1998); Disappearing Acts (HBO Pictures, 1999); and A Day Late and a Dollar Short (Lifetime, 2014). In addition, Terry is the Executive Producer of the Lifetime Original movies, "Tempted by Love" and "Forever". Her most recent novel was IT'S NOT ALL DOWNHILL FROM HERE, and her collected works of fiction and non-fiction, titled IT WAS THE WAY SHE SAID IT, will publish in September 2025.
