NETFLIX EMBARKS ON NEW DOCUMENTARY FOLLOWING COLIN O'BRADY'S MOST AMBITIOUS ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION
· Netflix has greenlit a documentary directed by Academy Award(R)-winner James Reed (My Octopus Teacher), following explorer and endurance athlete Colin O'Brady's boldest undertaking yet: a record-setting, nearly 2,000-mile solo, unsupported crossing of Antarctica.
· The Expedition: In November 2025, O'Brady will attempt to journey water's edge to water's edge across the most unforgiving wilderness on Earth. Over the course of approximately 110 days, he will pull a 500-pound sled across the Antarctic landmass and nearly 1,000 miles of frozen ocean (ice shelves), braving temperatures as low as -60°F, hurricane-force katabatic winds, towering sastrugi ridges, and hidden crevasses - all without any resupplies of food or fuel.
· The documentary will interweave O'Brady's extraordinary life story and previous world record expeditions with this new expedition, offering viewers a rare window into both the brutal physical demands and the profound psychological depth of one of the most ambitious polar attempts in history.
