USA Network Will Present 50-Plus WNBA Games in 2026 - Primarily Wednesday Night Doubleheaders - Including Playoff and WNBA Finals Games

STAMFORD, Conn. - October 7, 2025 - Kate Scott has been named the lead play-by-play voice for USA Network's coverage of the WNBA, which begins in May 2026.

Scott, who enters her fifth season as the TV play-by-play announcer for the Philadelphia 76ers, will anchor USA Network's season-long coverage of the WNBA through the Playoffs and WNBA Finals. Scott recently made history as the first woman to announce an NFL regular-season game for Westwood One Radio Network, calling the Steelers-Vikings matchup in Ireland as part of the NFL's international series.

"I cut my teeth in this industry covering women's basketball and I've always dreamed of our paths crossing again," said Scott. "Watching these W Finals and knowing I'll be courtside next season calling games has been nothing short of thrilling. The grit, grace, and tenacity of these athletes inspires me, and I don't take this honor lightly, because that's exactly how I see this opportunity - as an honor. It's a way to add my voice to one of the most important and influential leagues in the world and I cannot wait to get to work."

One of the most versatile play-by-play announcers in all of sports, Scott has consistently broken ground with her pioneering efforts as a broadcaster in the NBA, NFL, and NHL. The preseason TV voice of the Seattle Seahawks since 2023, Scott also served as a play-by-play voice for men's and women's basketball during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and was recently selected as the first woman to provide voiceover for the legendary Madden NFL video game series.

"We are incredibly proud to have Kate Scott lead USA Network's WNBA coverage," said Jeff Behnke, Executive Producer for Sports, VERSANT. "Kate's wide-ranging broadcast experience and her immense passion for the league will be a big win for fans watching and listening to her call the WNBA on USA for years to come."

Scott began her sports broadcasting career in San Francisco in 2011 where she held a variety of roles, including morning and midday sports anchor for KNBR 680-AM, TV sideline reporter for the San Jose Earthquakes and San Jose Giants, and anchor for NBC Bay Area's Saturday night sportscasts. Scott also worked for the Pac-12 Network where she called games featuring many current WNBA players.]

USA Network's WNBA coverage, which will feature more than 50 total games across the regular season, Playoffs, and Finals, begins in May 2026 and will be anchored by Wednesday night doubleheaders featuring marquee matchups across the league, establishing USA Network as a weekly destination for WNBA fans.

Additional details about USA Network's 2026 WNBA programming schedule, on-air game broadcast and studio commentary teams will be announced in the coming months.
