NEW YORK - Oct. 12, 2025 - Nickelodeon continued the celebration for Avatar: The Last Airbender's 20th anniversary with an unforgettable panel, featuring original voice cast members Zach Tyler Eisen (Aang), Jack De Sena (Sokka), Michaela Jill Murphy (Toph), Dante Basco (Zuko) and Mae Whitman (Katara), and co-creator Bryan Konietzko.

· A curtain-raising tribute video honoring 20 years of Avatar fandom, spotlighting iconic moments from the series and tracing its journey from the pilot's debut at Comic Con to the show's rise as a cultural phenomenon;

· Live table reads with the original cast, and a special cosplayer fan selected from the audience, that brought favorite scenes to life from: "The Serpent's Pass / Appa's Lost Days;" "The Western Air Temple;" and "Sozin's Comet, Part 4: Avatar Aang;"

· And a recap of everything new and upcoming in the world of Avatar, including: recently released artwork from the 2D-animated series Avatar: Seven Havens; the logo from The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender film; and book covers of The Official Baking Book, Bending Academy: Fire #1, Beasts of the Four Nations, City of Echoes and The Awakening of Roku.

The 20th anniversary celebration of Avatar: The Last Airbender at New York Comic Con also included Nickelodeon's Avatar-themed booth (#1523) on the convention floor, where fans were able to experience the four elements--Water, Earth, Fire, and Air--through immersive activations, photo ops, and interactive booth activities.

Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender emerged from its three-season run (61 episodes), from February 2005 to July 2008, as one of the most beloved animated properties in history. Honored with a Peabody Award and Primetime Emmy, along with multiple Annie Awards and Genesis Awards, the series follows the adventures of the main protagonist Aang and his friends, who must defeat Fire Lord Ozai and end the Hundred Year War to restore balance to the Four Nations. Continuing the next era of the Avatar-verse, Avatar Studios will release The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender on October 9, 2026. Additionally, Nickelodeon announced the greenlight of Avatar: The Last Airbender: Seven Havens, a brand-new 2D-animated series which follows a young Earthbender who discovers she is the new Avatar, expanding the rich mythology and epic adventure of the beloved franchise. In addition to the series' success, the property has also been translated into several bestselling book series, which continue to roll out new original stories. The graphic novel series has sold nearly 3 million copies, and the young adult novels have spent more than 25 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list and have sold more than 700,000 copies in both print and audiobook. The series has also come to life globally through Nickelodeon-themed attractions, resorts and live experiences, including the 100-city world tour of Avatar: The Last Airbender In Concert, featuring a live orchestra performing the show's iconic musical score.
