The series from A24 will land in the UK & Ireland in 2026

Today Sky can announce that Crystal Lake, a prequel to the hugely popular 'Friday the 13th' franchise will be coming to Sky and streaming service NOW in the UK and Ireland in 2026. Produced by A24 and distributed by Peacock in the US, the series marks the first new project connected to the franchise since the reboot of the 2009 original film. Katie Keenan, Group Director of Acquisitions for Sky UK and Europe, said: "We are so excited to bring Crystal Lake, the back storyline to the iconic Friday 13th franchise. Crystal Lake, a A24 and Peacock series, was created by showrunner, writer, and executive producer Brad Caleb Kane (It: Welcome to Derry), who joins A24 and original 'Friday the 13th' writer Victor Miller and Horror, Inc. in bringing the Jason Universe story to the screen. Further Executive Producers are A24, Marc Toberoff, Victor Miller, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P. Barsamian, Stuart Manashil, Tyson Bidner, Michael Lennox.
