SIRENS ON: BAFTA-WINNING "BLUE LIGHTS" RETURNS TO BRITBOX FOR EXPLOSIVE THIRD SEASON

The Past Won't Stay Buried: "Karen Pirie" Season Two Finale Delivers a Chilling Conclusion on BritBox

· Fresh off its 2025 BAFTA win for Best Drama, the third season of Blue Lights premieres November 13 on BritBox. Hailed as "the best cop show on British TV" (Rotten Tomatoes), the series continues to earn acclaim for its raw realism and emotional intensity. Often compared to The Wire for its unflinching portrayal of urban policing in Belfast, Blue Lights has become a benchmark for modern British drama. With shifting loyalties, new threats, and standout performances, season three delivers as one of the most critically acclaimed dramas on British television.

· Cloaked by the gritty backdrop of Scotland and inspired by Val McDermid's bestselling novels, season two of critically acclaimed Karen Pirie is now available to stream. Lauren Lyle (Outlander) is back in her titular role, a newly promoted DS investigating a 25-year-old cold case. Dark, fast-paced and intense, the binge-worthy series continues to redefine the detective genre for a new generation. The Karen Pirie S2 finale airs on BritBox October 16.

· Set in 1956 and inspired by real postwar migration schemes, Ten Pound Poms stars Warren Brown (Luther, A Taste For Murder) as Terry Roberts, a Brit chasing a fresh start in Australia for just ten pounds. Emotional and sharply drawn, the series explores the promise and hardship of life down under. The season one finale airs on BritBox November 26, with season two following in 2026.

· Returning to the cobbled streets of Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare and Hathaway: Private Investigators S5 premieres November 25 on BritBox. Mark Benton (Inside No. 9) and Jo Joyner (EastEnders) reprise their roles as Frank and Lu, the mismatched detectives reluctantly reunited after time apart. Quirky, clever, and packed with theatrical flair, the new season continues to charm with its offbeat cases and lovable cast.
