FOX ENTERTAINMENT STUDIOS STRIKES DEVELOPMENT DEAL WITH GOLDEN GLOBE-WINNING AND EMMY-NOMINATED MULTI-HYPHENATE TRACEE ELLIS ROSS AND HER JOY MILL ENTERTAINMENT

Partnership Covers Scripted and Unscripted Programming Across All Television Genres with Ross Executive Producing Under Her Joy Mill Banner

Los Angeles, CA - January 6, 2026 - Golden Globe-winning and Emmy-nominated actress, producer, and director Tracee Ellis Ross, along with her production company Joy Mill Entertainment, has entered into a multiyear first-look scripted and overall unscripted deal with FOX Entertainment Studios (FES).

Under the partnership, Ross will serve as executive producer and creative originator on a cross-genre scripted slate spanning comedy, drama and animation, as well as unscripted and reality television programming formats. The agreement marks Ross's first term deal with FOX Entertainment Studios, reinforcing FES's ongoing commitment to collaboration with visionary talent who push creative boundaries across mediums. In addition, Adriana Ambriz will return to Joy Mill to continue her role as Head of Development, a position she has held since 2020.

"Tracee is a singular force, creative, purposeful and culturally undeniable," said Hannah Pillemer, Head of Scripted, and Allison Wallach, Head of Unscripted, FOX Entertainment Studios. "Her instincts, curiosity and drive make her an exceptionally creative and prolific partner. We're excited to team up with Tracee and Joy Mill Entertainment to create work that inspires, entertains and reflects the world through their distinctly authentic lens."

"Joining the FOX Entertainment Studios family marks an exciting next chapter for Joy Mill Entertainment," said Ross. "At Joy Mill, our focus is in creating and producing entertaining, culture bending stories centered around identity and joy, and from our earliest conversations with FOX, it was clear that they shared the same vision. I'm excited to collaborate with Hannah, Allison, Fernando Szew, Tomii Crump, and their incredible teams as we continue to expand our platform."

A celebrated actor, producer, director and entrepreneur, Tracee Ellis Ross is best known for her Emmy-nominated and Golden Globe-winning portrayal of Rainbow Johnson on ABC's groundbreaking comedy black-ish, which ran for eight seasons. She also starred in and executive produced mixed-ish and appeared in the feature film The High Note, earning a Critics' Choice Award nomination. Earlier in her career, Ross gained acclaim for her performance in Girlfriends, one of television's most beloved series, centering Black women's friendships and experiences.

In addition to her acting work, Ross is the owner, founder, and co-CEO of PATTERN Beauty, the global multi-million-dollar hair and body brand she created in 2019 for the curly, coily and tight-textured community. The award-winning brand is sold at major retailers, including Sephora and Ulta, where PATTERN Beauty is the #1 Curl Brand. With PATTERN, Ross is changing the paradigm of how the textured hair community is marketed to and supported.

Ross is represented by Artists First, UTA, Origin Public Relations and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.
