NETFLIX PRESENTS ITS ITALIAN 2026 SLATE: THE YEAR OF THE STARS

ROME, January 21, 2026 - After announcing the 2026 global slate with the help of tarot cards in the "What Next?" campaign, today Netflix Italy unveiled the future of its local offering designed for the Italian audience.

In 2026, for the first time within a single year's line-up, Netflix is bringing together the brightest stars of Italian cinema and entertainment, including established names and rising talent, as well as leading figures from sport, music, creators and personalities who have captured the hearts of Italian audiences: Luca Argentero, Massimiliano Caiazzo, Sergio Castellitto, Matilda De Angelis, Elodie, Fabri Fibra, Pierfrancesco Favino, Anna Ferzetti, Alessandro Gassmann, Elio Germano, Francesco Gheghi, Maria Chiara Giannetta, Guè, Maurizio Lastrico, Andrea Lattanzi, Edoardo Leo, Matteo Martari, Giulia Michelini, Francesco Montanari, Federica Pellegrini, Alvise Rigo, Barbara Ronchi, Serena Rossi, Luis Sal, Vanessa Scalera, Edoardo Scarpetta, Pietro Sermonti, Pierpaolo Spollon, Sarah Toscano, Rose Villain, Zerocalcare, Luca Zingaretti.

"I'm truly proud of the spectacular pool of talent who this year will give a face and a soul to our Italian stories, which are unique and authentic," says Tinny Andreatta, Vice President for Italian Content at Netflix Italy. "Each has had a distinctive and unique creative journey, and through our collaboration, we're excited to be offering these celebrated performers the opportunity to give audiences challenging and previously unseen versions of their artistic identities. And this is an added value we're really proud of."

A key feature of the 2026 line‑up is the significant production of original Italian films. In addition to The Big Fake by Stefano Lodovichi, starring Pietro Castellitto and Giulia Michelini and coming out in the next few days, Netflix today announced four new original titles spanning different genres: action movie Senza Volto by Fabio Guaglione with Edoardo Leo and, for the first time on screen, his daughter AnitaL the dramedy Feel my voice by Luca Ribuoli with Sarah Toscano and Serena Rossi; Campioni by Jacopo Bonvicini with Alessandro Gassmann and Anna Ferzetti; and Noi un po' meglio by Daniele Luchetti with Elio Germano and Maria Chiara Giannetta. The film offering raises production quality while keeping a firm focus on the tastes and sensibilities of the Italian public, pairing original titles with Italian films that will debut in their first pay‑TV window on Netflix after their theatrical release.

The 2026 series offering is also rich and varied, with Motorvalley, an action drama with Luca Argentero and Giulia Michelini; My 2 cents, an adult animation by Zerocalcare; Chiaroscuro, a light crime series with Pierpaolo Spollon and Andrea Lattanzi; Minerva Academy, a young adult series with rising stars Ciro Minopoli, Biagio Venditti and Margherita Buoncristiani; Nemesis, a thriller with Pierfrancesco Favino, Barbara Ronchi and Elodie; The good boss, a comedy with Luca Zingaretti; and SuburraMaxima, a new chapter in the Suburra universe. 2026 will also see the return of three series much loved by audiences: Real Men, My family and the final season of The law according to Lidia Poët.

On the unscripted front, after the recent launch of the docu‑series Paparazzi King, the new year will bring the incredible challenges of Physical 100: Italy featuring, among others, Federica Pellegrini, Alvise Rigo and Luis Sal, as well as the rap battles of the third season of Rhythm & Flow. And from 1 April, WWE is coming to Italy with RAW, SmackDown, NXT and all premium live events, including WrestleMania, which will be available in Italy live and exclusively on Netflix, with Italian commentary by "Il Godzilla" Luca Franchini and "Il Bardo" Michele Posa.

Having recently celebrated 10 years since launching the service in Italy, Netflix is now looking to the future with fresh momentum, continuing to build a storytelling approach guided by variety, quality and ambition. It's a journey through series, films, documentaries and unscripted content, curated to speak to a broad and curious audience.

"We want to continue to invest confidently in our country with a long‑term perspective," concludes Tinny Andreatta, "while enhancing the vital, inspired work of the writers, directors and independent producers who collaborate with us and who are the incubators and creators of the emotional stories we'll get to see on screen."
