Netflix Presents Our 2026 Series and Films and Announces New Projects

Netflix unveiled its 2026 slate at an event in Madrid, showcasing a wide range of series, films, and nonfiction content, both Spanish and international. In addition, the company announced three new projects currently in production or post-production.

During the event, some of the most prominent figures in Spanish audiovisual storytelling took the stage to present their projects, which will premiere on Netflix this year. Among them were the leads of The Final Problem (Jose Coronado, Maribel Verdú, and Martiño Rivas); Gracias, equipo (Raúl Tejón, Blanca Martínez, and Maribel Verdú); Salvador (Luis Tosar and Claudia Salas); Murder in Galicia (Tristán Ulloa); The Child (Belén Cuesta and Karra Elejalde); Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine (Inma Cuesta, Michelle Jenner, Joel Sánchez, and Tristán Ulloa); 53 Sundays (Carmen Machi, Javier Gutiérrez, and Javier Cámara); and A Day Like No Other (Raphael). Additionally, Luis Tosar and Tristán Ulloa returned to the stage to present the miniseries Lobo, currently in production, while Mario Casas, Blanca Suárez, and Nicolás Francella took the stage to introduce the feature film En nombre de otro, also currently in production.

Luis Tosar and Tristán Ulloa also returned to the stage to present the miniseries Lobo, currently in production, while Mario Casas, Blanca Suárez, and Nicolás Francella appeared to introduce the film En nombre de otro, also now shooting.

During the presentation, Netflix announced three new projects, including:

Miguel Ángel Blanco: las 48 horas que lo cambiaron todo, a documentary film directed by Jon Sistiaga y Juanjo López and produced by The Tintirin Team, which explores the two days during which an entire country held its breath, as millions of people mobilized in a desperate attempt to prevent the murder of Miguel Ángel Blanco - an agonizingly delayed death that left a lasting scar on Spanish society. The documentary revisits that crucial moment of solidarity and compassion, when Basque society lost its fear to ETA.

Lobo, starring Luis Tosar and featuring Tristán Ulloa, is a miniseries written by Alberto Marini and Juan Galiñanes, directed by Alberto Marini and Javier Rodríguez Delgado and produced by Vaca Films, that has just begun filming. The miniseries is based on the real-life case of Manuel Blanco Romasanta, a traveling tailor who went down in history as Spain's first documented serial killer, in rural 19th-century Galicia. During his trial, he claimed to be a werewolf... and that is where the legend began.

En nombre de otro, the new film written and directed by Oriol Paulo and produced by Juanita Films, currently in production, is a fast-paced thriller where nothing is what it seems. The film stars Eduard Fernández, Mario Casas, Blanca Suárez, Nicolás Francella, and Alexandra Jiménez.

OTHER TITLES PRESENTED

The event also showcased the following previously announced titles set to premiere in 2026: Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, Bridgerton season 4, Gangs of Galicia season 2, Alpha Males season 5, Death Inc. season 4, Turn of the Tide season 3, The Gentleman season 2, Lupin season 4, One Piece season 2, Avatar: The Last Airbender seasons 2 and 3, That Night, Oasis, All The Truth Behind My Lies, The Map of Longing, Heartstopper: Forever, Pride and Prejudice, My Dearest Señorita, Firebreak, The Marked Woman, Los creyentes, El amor es peligroso, Rafa, El cautivo, La tregua, Siempre es invierno y Torrente Presidente.
