BALDUR'S GATE (HBO, New!) - Craig Mazin is looking to bring Wizards of the Coast's video game franchise, which is set in the world of Dungeons & Dragons, to television. He'll pen the project, billed as a "continuation to the games, telling a story that takes place immediately after the events of Baldur's Gate 3, as the characters - old and new - are dealing with the ramifications of the events in the third game." Jacqueline Lesko, Cecil O'Connor, and Gabriel Marano will also executive produce for Hasbro Entertainment with Chris Perkins as a consultant. (Deadline.com, 2/5)
BLOOD TIES (FOX, New!) - Tom Szentgyorgyi is behind a proposed drama at the network. No details were given about the project other than it is considered to be one of two frontrunners likely to go to series. (Deadline.com, 2/2)
BRILLIANT MINDS/VOICE, THE (NBC) - The network has pushed the six remaining episodes of "Brilliant Minds" to later this season or in the summer. In its place on Mondays, NBC will air expanded two-hour episodes of the upcoming 29th season of "The Voice." (Deadline.com, 2/4)
CROSSROADS (Netflix, New!) - Jeremy Strong is attached to star in a series adaptation of the Jonathan Franzen novel at the streaming service: "A Midwestern pastor and his family see their lives unravel after a church scandal sends each of them chasing desire and freedom in different directions, in this darkly funny, epic American family drama set in the early 1970s." Amy Herzog is behind the project with Franzen, Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer also executive producing for Media Res. (Variety.com, 2/5)

(Deadline.com, 2/2)
ERAGON (Disney+) - Todd Harthan, Todd Helbing, and Marc Webb have all signed onto the YA book series adaptation from Christopher Paolini, which has opened a writers' room. Harthan will co-create the series with Paolini, with Harthan and Todd Helbing set as co-showrunners. Webb will also executive produce alongside Bert Salke and Rachel Moore for Co-Lab 21 and 20th Television. (Deadline.com, 2/4)

HOW TO SURVIVE WITHOUT ME (HBO Max) - Joshua Jackson and Ray Romano are the first to be cast in the streamer's drama pilot: "How To Survive Without Me is set in the wake of matriarch Beverly's passing. The De Angelis family has begun to drift, unsure how to manage their complicated, evolving lives without her guidance, but in true Beverly fashion, she found a way to keep running the show from the beyond. Should they wish to experience Beverly's final work, the family must find the time - and make the effort - to remain connected, and be there for each other through all of life's challenges yet to come." Jackson will play Cooper: "As a chef about to open a members dining club in Los Angeles, Cooper is literally carrying forward his mother's recipes and approach to food. He presents as confident and a player, but he's suffering in silence - keeping a secret that could destroy both his lifelong friendships and the culinary career he's built in is mother's honor." And Romano is set as Leo, "newly a widower and suddenly performing the lead role of parent that he never auditioned for. As his five complicated adult children begin to navigate life without their mother at the center, Leo is forced to find his own voice as a parent, moving out of wife's shadow to become the family's new, differently effective center." (Deadline.com, 2/4)
INTERROGATOR, THE (FOX, New!) - Stephen Fry will topline a new spy drama ordered straight to series by the network: "The drama centers on former MI6 agent Conrad Henry (Fry) and his elite team. When conventional methods have failed, Henry's quirky charm, superior intellect and mind-bending behavioral maneuvers make him the only man able to lockpick the minds of the world's most dangerous criminals." Fry himself penned the script alongside Matt Pyken and Bill Harper, with all three executive producing alongside director Paul McGuigan, Neil Burger, Anthony Bregman, and Miriam Mintz for Anonymous Content, Likely Story, Lionsgate Television, and FOX Entertainment Studios. DuVall will play a seraphite while Lendeborg will portray Manny, "replacing Danny Ramirez, who played the recurring role in Season 2 but could not return for scheduling reasons." (Deadline.com, 2/3)
LAW & ORDER: SVU (NBC) - David Zayas will guest on the series as a judge, replacing Timothy Busfield, "who was charged with two counts of criminal sexual contact with a minor and child abuse." (Deadline.com, 2/3)
LUTHER FOLLOW-UP FILM (Netflix) - Stephen Dillane, Anya Chalotra, Kyle Soller, Ian Hart, and Niamh Algar will star alongside Idris Elba, Ruth Wilson, and Dermot Crowley in the latest installment of the franchise. Character details are being kept under wraps. In the film, the "plot is thrust into motion when a new wave of brutal, seemingly random murders hits London and DCI John Luther (Elba) is secretly called back into service. But how can he save London when everyone on all sides seems to want him dead?" (Deadline.com, 2/4)

The company's web site details the comic as follows: "Every year, giant sentient robots from outer space come to Earth and bond forever with a brand new crop of cadets at Sky Corps Academy to help keep the planet safe. But this year, instead of making a connection with a cadet, one of the mechs bonds with Stanford, a young kid working with his Mom as a janitor at Sky Corps.
