In the gritty, realistic tradition of classic cop dramas like The Shield and NYPD Blue, Double Stakes follows a soldier (Vlad Nikitiuk) who after being discharged from the front becomes a cop to challenge the circles of crime and corrupt officials in Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Synopsis: On his first day home from the front, Igor Shvedov sees his older brother, the only person dear to him, murdered in front of him. Unexpectedly, he learns that his brother was an influential criminal mastermind and starts suspecting that the people in his circle are not at all who they pretend to be. To find his brother's killer, he joins the police and begins his war against organized crime and bent cops.
