Netflix Turns Up the Heat with All-New Firefighter Drama Series "Tyler Perry's Where There's Smoke"

NETFLIX TURNS UP THE HEAT WITH ALL-NEW FIREFIGHTER DRAMA SERIES "TYLER PERRY'S WHERE THERE'S SMOKE"

Production has kicked off in Atlanta, Georgia with New Cast Including Tyler Lepley, Mike Merrill, Da'Vinchi, Eltony Williams, Brock O'Hurn, Joe Hunter, Karen Obilom, Brittany S. Hall and more

· Today, Netflix announced the cast of Tyler Perry's Where There's Smoke, an all-new firefighter drama series coming soon to Netflix. The series comes from a previously announced creative partnership with Netflix, where Perry will write, direct, and produce feature films and series under a multi-year first-look series deal.

· The 16-episode hour-long drama is written, directed, and produced by Perry.

· Angi Bones and Tony Strickland will also produce for Tyler Perry Studios.

· This series joins a slate of successful Tyler Perry Studios releases on Netflix, including Tyler Perry's Beauty in Black Seasons 1 and 2, which have spent a combined 10 weeks in the Global English TV Top 10, reaching #1 in 28 countries. The series was recently renewed for a third season.

· The cast includes:

o Tyler Lepley (Ruth & Boaz, Tyler Perry's Duplicity, Harlem) will play Owen

o Mike Merrill (STRAW, The Black Hamptons) will play Cameron

o Da'Vinchi (BMF, All American) will play Noah

o Eltony Williams (If Loving You is Wrong, Designated Survivor) will play Jermaine

o Brock O'Hurn (The Righteous Gemstones, Euphoria) will play Ethan

o Joe Hunter (Survivor Season 48 & Survivor season 50) will play Chief Bailey

o Karen Obilom (House Party, Doom Patrol, Chicago PD) will play Laura

o Brittany S. Hall (Finding Joy, Ballers) will play Angela

o Mariah Goodie (Be Someone, The Message and the Messenger) will play Rhonda

o Jordan Rodriguez (Here Comes the Flood, Jane the Virgin, Awkward) will play Brent

o Judi Moon (What Love Will Make You Do, Last Love) will play Darcy

· The show will join a lineup of other Netflix productions filmed in Atlanta, Georgia, including Stranger Things, His & Hers, and the upcoming 'Tis So Sweet, All the Sinners Bleed, Sweet Magnolias S5, the sequel to A Different World and more.
