NEW YORK, NY (March 11, 2026) -- Coming off the heels of its successful Ripped from the Headlines winter slate, Lifetime sets two all new movies for Spring. Leading into Easter, Rescued By Faith: The Connie and Larry Van Oosten Story premieres Saturday, April 4 at 8/7c and stars Nancy Travis (Last Man Standing), Mike Pniewski (Madam Secretary), and Jake Allyn (Someone Like You). Based on a true story of an Illinois couple abducted from their home by a masked intruder and imprisoned in a hidden underground bunker with only their faith to keep them going. Later this May Lifetime will also debut Kidnapped in Her Own Home: The Martha Carelli Story, premiering Saturday, May 2 at 8/7c. Based on Ann Rule's non-fiction story The Painter's Wife, the movie stars Stana Katic (Castle) in a high stakes thriller following a mother forced into a desperate fight for survival after an escaped convict takes her hostage and compels her to drive his getaway car. Both movies are written and executive produced by Conor Allyn and Benjamin Anderson, the key creative forces behind Lifetime's successful Ann Rule adaptations, known for crafting suspenseful, emotionally resonant films that bring her iconic true-crime stories to life.

Rescued By Faith: The Connie and Larry Van Oosten Story

Saturday April 4 at 8/7c

Stars Nancy Travis, Mike Pniewski and Jake Allyn

Based on a True Story

Based on a true story, in 2017, Connie (Nancy Travis) and Larry Van Oosten (Mike Pniewski) are jolted awake by a masked gunman standing at the foot of their bed. Abducted from their home and locked inside a hidden bunker, the couple must endure days of torment while their captor attempts to steal away their life savings.

During a tense trip to the bank, Connie risks everything to secretly alert authorities, setting off a frantic search. As the pressure mounts and their captor - someone with a chilling connection to their past - grows increasingly unstable, Connie and Larry cling to their faith, unsure if help will reach them in time.

Rescued By Faith: The Connie and Larry Van Oosten Story is produced by Best on Best for Lifetime. Conor Allyn and Benjamin Anderson serve as executive producers. Lee Gabiana directs from a script written by Allyn and Anderson.

Kidnapped in Her Own Home: The Martha Carelli Story

Saturday, May 2 at 8/7c

Stars Stana Katic and Tyler Perez

Martha Carelli's (Stana Katic) quiet life is shattered when an escaped convict hiding in her basement takes her hostage. Forced to drive his getaway car, Martha finds herself trapped in a dangerous psychological battle where survival depends on both courage and cunning. As the miles pass, Martha carefully leaves behind subtle clues she hopes will guide authorities to her location. With her captor growing increasingly volatile and another hostage's life at stake, Martha must rely on her instincts, resilience, and resourcefulness to outwit her abductor and make it home alive.

Kidnapped in Her Own Home: The Martha Carelli Story is produced by Best on Best for Lifetime. Conor Allyn and Benjamin Anderson serve as executive producers. Allyn and Anderson also wrote the script based on Ann Rule's non-fiction story The Painter's Wife. Traci Hays directs.
