Netflix announces the cast of A Estranha na Cama, a thriller directed by Esmir Filho, written by Raphael Montes and starring Paolla Oliveira, Bella Campos and Emílio Dantas

São Paulo, March 26, 2026 - Production is now underway for A Estranha na Cama, Netflix's new Brazilian thriller directed by Esmir Filho (Latin Blood - The Ballad of Ney Matogrosso) and written by Raphael Montes (Good Morning, Verônica). The film is based on the author's as-yet-unpublished novel of the same name. Having already sold more than one million books in Brazil, Montes will release the novel later this year. To mark the launch of the production, Netflix is unveiling the first official cast image today.

Starring Paolla Oliveira, Bella Campos and Emílio Dantas, the feature tells the story of a couple in crisis who decide to open their relationship in a last-ditch attempt to save their marriage. What begins as a liberating arrangement quickly turns into an intriguing game rife with lies and secrets. The film, featuring Raphael Montes's signature moments of suspense, explores a provocative narrative about desire, power and the limits of relationships. Kelner Macêdo, Vera Fischer and Paulo Betti also star.

Developed by Casa Montes and produced by A Fábrica, a Banijay Américas company, the film is written by Raphael Montes and Janaina Tokitaka and produced by Cecilia Grosso. Its executive producers are Raphael Montes, Victor Prataviera, Jenifer Marques, Clara Machado, Simone Oliveira and Samanta Moraes.
