LOS ANGELES, CA (August 18, 2026) - Lifetime announces two additional movies inspired by actual events joining its Strength of a Lifetime September movie event. Kicking off with the previously announced Robin Roberts Presents Angel in the Rubble: The Genelle Guzman Story, starring Sherri Shepherd and Dondré Whitfield, on Saturday, September 12 at 8/7c, the event continues with two all-new original movies: Sole Survivor of Flight 119, starring Joy Bryant and Sarah Wayne Callies, premiering Saturday, September 19 at 8/7c, and The Ocean Between Them, starring Rebecca Gayheart, Jessica Lord and Gayheart's real-life daughter, Georgia Dane, premiering Saturday, September 26 at 8/7c. Sole Survivor of Flight 119 follows the only survivor of a deadly plane crash, while The Ocean Between Them tells the story of a young woman stranded at sea following a devastating storm and her mother's unwavering determination to bring her home.

Inspired by actual events and Tammy L. Kling's memoir Exit Row, Sole Survivor of Flight 119 stars acclaimed actresses Joy Bryant (Parenthood, For Life) and Sarah Wayne Callies (The Walking Dead, Prison Break) in a powerful story of courage and the will to survive.
After a routine flight takes a harrowing turn, Lisa Foster (Sarah Wayne Callies) survives a devastating plane crash deep in the Mexican jungle. As the sole survivor, she must rely on her resourcefulness, inner strength and faith to endure the unforgiving wilderness and find her way home to her young daughter. Meanwhile, Rebecca Till (Joy Bryant), an airline executive who narrowly missed boarding Flight 119, is assigned to assist the families of the missing passengers. As Rebecca forms an unlikely bond with Lisa's loved ones, the final text Lisa sent moments before the crash, provides a breakthrough in the search, setting both women on an extraordinary journey that will challenge their beliefs and forever change their lives.

Inspired by actual events, The Ocean Between Them stars Rebecca Gayheart (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Jawbreaker) as 'Joan,' a devoted mother whose world is upended when her daughter Miranda disappears at sea during a vacation in Belize.
After a heated argument sends Miranda (Jessica Lord, Christmas in the Spotlight, Find me in Paris) out kayaking alone, an unexpected storm leaves her stranded at sea. As Miranda battles the elements to stay alive, Joan refuses to give up, launching a relentless search that tests her resolve and pushes her beyond her limits. Facing unimaginable odds, both women discover extraordinary strength and the unbreakable bond that connects them - even across the vast ocean. Karl Walcott (Riverdale) also stars as 'Luke' a local bartender who becomes one of Joan's strongest allies in the search for Miranda with Georgia Dane, the real-life daughter of Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane, appearing as Joan's younger daughter, 'Ashley.'
The Ocean Between Them is produced by Evoke Entertainment for Lifetime. Stan Spry, Jeff Holland, Lisa Alford, and Anthony Fankhauser executive produce. The film is directed by Gabriel Correa from a script by Sam Lee, Angela Gulner and Yuri Baranovsky.
Robin Roberts Presents Angel in the Rubble: The Genelle Guzman Story

The film recounts the extraordinary survival of Genelle Guzman (Sherri Shepherd), a NYC transit worker who was buried beneath the collapse of the North Tower on 9/11 and trapped for 27 harrowing hours. As she fought to stay alive, Genelle reflected on her life and the faith she had left behind, praying for deliverance and promising to change if given another chance. Her prayers were answered when a man named Paul found her in the debris and remained by her side until rescuers pulled her to safety - the final survivor recovered from Ground Zero. When Genelle later searched for Paul to thank him, no one could confirm he was ever there, leading her to believe he was an angel sent to save her and guide her toward the renewed life she had promised while buried beneath the rubble. Dondré Whitfield portrays Genelle's boyfriend Roger McMillan and the film is based on Guzman-McMillan's memoir Angel in the Rubble: The Miraculous Rescue of 9/11's Last Survivor.
