Camila Pitanga and Sergio Guizé lead the cast of a new original comedy from Netflix
São Paulo, August 31, 2026 - Netflix announces that filming has started on its new Brazilian comedy series, Casamento Aberto e Outras Coisas que Não Existem. With a stellar cast, the project also marks the debut of Camila Pitanga, Heloisa Périssé and Sergio Guizé on Netflix. They join Samantha Schmütz, Xamã and Otavio Muller in the series.
The series directed by José Alvarenga Jr. was created and written by Alexandre Machado. This series reunites a pair that is well established in Brazilian comedy with previous successes such as Os Normais (2001-2003) and other productions. Casamento Aberto e Outras Coisas que Não Existem follows a married couple who decides to open up their relationship and explore, with the high spirits, desires, arrangements and conflicts of romantic relationships in today's world. The premiere date is yet to be determined. Episodes are being filmed in São Paulo.
