Thursday's Broadcast Ratings: "Grey's Anatomy" Tops Viewers, Demos for ABC

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (9/29/16):

ABC (5.767 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1) staked claim to the top spot on Thursday with week two of "Grey's Anatomy" (8.340 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.4, #1), "Notorious" (4.573 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T10) and "How to Get Away with Murder" (4.388 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T4).

NBC (5.708 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T2) then was the number two draw with its mix of "Superstore" (4.365 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T7), "The Good Place" (4.379 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T7), "Chicago Med" (6.705 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T4) and "The Blacklist" (6.049 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T10).

Next up was CBS (5.313 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T2) and its repeat lineup of "The Big Bang Theory" (6.800 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T2), "Keving Can Wait" (5.492 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T4), another "The Big Bang Theory" (5.832 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T2), another "Keving Can Wait" (4.817 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T7) and "Bull" (4.470 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #13).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.644 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) offered up fresh installments of "Rosewood" (3.599 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.8, #14) and "Pitch" (3.690 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.0, #12).

And finally, repeats of "The Flash" (1.185 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.4, #15) and "Supernatural" (0.957 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.3, #16) closed out the evening on The CW (1.071 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 ratings were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.7/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.2/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

CBS (14.194 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.7, #1) was still the top draw on Thursday with its weekly installments of "Thursday Night Football Pre-Game" (10.589 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.1, #2) and "Thursday Night Football" (14.915 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 5.0, #1).

ABC (8.362 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.5, #2) then was a distant second place with week two of "Grey's Anatomy" (8.452 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.3, #T4), "Scandal" (9.090 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.8, #3) and "How to Get Away with Murder" (7.545 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.3, #T4).

Next up was NBC (5.699 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #3) with a new "Heroes Reborn" (5.004 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.6, #7), the return of "The Blacklist" (7.598 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.8, #6) and week two of "The Player" (4.495 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #10).

Meanwhile, FOX (4.810 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #4) offered up the season premieres of "Bones" (6.064 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.3, #8) and "Sleepy Hollow" (3.556 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.0, #9).

And finally, repeats of "The Flash" (1.142 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #11) and "Arrow" (0.871 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #12) on The CW (1.007 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), said duo posted a 0.2 and a 0.2 rating, respectively.
