Hallmark Channel Mystery Wheel Continues to Roll
Delivering Network�s Best January Ever
The first four Hallmark Channel Mystery Movies have become the four highest Friday
evening telecasts in network history, helping to power the channel to its best January ever.
McBride �The Chameleon Murder� (1/14) averaged a 1.6 HH rating (with 1,086,000 HH,
244,000 W25-54 and 421,000 A25-54), Mystery Woman �Snapshot� (1/28) averaged a 1.6
HH rating (with 1,059,000 HH), Mystery Woman �Mystery Weekend� (1/7) averaged a 1.5 HH
rating (with 1,039,000 HH, 296,000 W25-54 and 469,000 A25-54) and Jane Doe �Vanishing
Act� (1/21) averaged a 1.4 HH rating (with 946,000 HH, 229,000 W25-54 and 440,000 A25-54).
The four Jan'05 Friday Mystery Movie premieres averaged 1.033 million HH's, a 92% increase
over the 4q�04 Fri 9-11p time period average. More than 5.3 million viewers tuned in to watch
these Hallmark Channel Mystery Wheel premieres (Nielsen Media Research, 12/27/04-1/30/05,
coverage area ratings; Nielsen NPower, 1/7-1/28/05, unduplicated viewers based on P2+).
Hallmark Channel Original movie premieres on Saturday continue to deliver top rating
performances, as �Annie�s Point� marks the 6th straight Saturday 9-11p original premiere to
deliver a 2.0 HH rating or higher. The Jan 22nd premiere delivered a 2.0 HH rating, (with
1,362,000 Households, 477,000 W25-54 and 720,000 A25-54). �Annie�s Point� was viewed by
more than 2.8 million unduplicated viewers (P2+). This premiere was key in pushing the
network to its highest week ever, as the week of 1/17 -1/23/05 averaged a .8 HH rating and
526,000 HH (Nielsen Media Research, 1/17-1/23/05; Nielsen NPower, 1/22/05, unduplicated
viewers based on P2+).
These successes, in addition to the strength of the channel�s daily schedule, have
pushed the network to its highest January ever, increasing 27% in HH delivery year to year for
Total Day and 34% for Prime Time (Nielsen Media Research 12/27/04 � 1/30/05).
