Kids 6-11 Kids� Total Day Ratings, Delivery Climb 40% in 10th Straight Week of Solid Growth at Cartoon Network

ADULT SWIM Remains #1 in Late-Night on All Basic Cable with Adults 18-34, 18-24; Scores 4 of Top 10 Programs on Basic Cable among Adults 18-34
Cartoon Network launches into a third month�10 straight weeks�of solid double-digit growth among its key demos, dominated by a 40% delivery and ratings growth among kids 6-11 in kids� total day, according to Nielsen Media Research. Each of the network�s three key franchises�FRIDAYS (7 p.m.-12 a.m.), MIGUZI (Monday-Sunday, 5-7 p.m.) and TOONAMI (Saturday, 7-11 p.m.)�also scored double-digit growth across their respective audiences, including kids 6-11. And the network�s late-night block, ADULT SWIM (Sunday-Thursday, Saturday, 11 p.m.-2 a.m.), soon to be measured as an individual network by Nielsen, continued to rule basic cable in its time period among adults 18-34 and adults 18-24.
Highlights of Cartoon Network�s performance vs. the same time period last year include the following:
Kids� Total Day (Monday-Sunday, 6 a.m. - 6 a.m., kids� programming)
- Kids 6-11 delivery (501,000) and ratings (2.1) both increased by 40%.
- Kids 2-11 delivery (833,000) advanced by 26% and ratings (2.1) by 24%.
Prime Time (Monday-Sunday, 8-11 p.m.)
- Kids 6-11 delivery (707,000) expanded by 26% and ratings (2.9) by 21%.
- Kids 2-11 delivery (1,093,000) grew by 15% and ratings (2.8) by 17%.
FRIDAYS (Friday, 7 p.m.-12 a.m.)
- Kids 6-11 delivery (949,000) climbed ahead by 41% and ratings (3.9) by 39%.
- Kids 2-11 delivery (1,464,000) rose by 43% and ratings (3.7) by 42%.
- Top program�Foster�s Home for Imaginary Friends (7 p.m.): kids 6-11 delivery up 21%, kids 2-11 delivery up 26%.
MIGUZI (Monday-Friday, 5-7 p.m.�as of 1/24/05: Monday-Sunday, 5-7 p.m.)
- Kids 6-11 delivery (727,000) and ratings (3.0) both improved by 36%.
- Kids 2-11 delivery (1,097,000) leaped by 31% and ratings (2.8) by 33%.
- Top program�Static Shock (5:30 p.m.): kids 6-11 delivery up 51%, kids 2-11 delivery up 44%.
TOONAMI (Saturday, 7-11 p.m.)
- Kids 6-11 delivery (634,000) jumped by 20% and ratings (2.6) by 18%.
- Tweens 9-14 delivery (492,000) grew by 14% and ratings (2.0) by 11%.
- Top program�DragonBall GT (10 p.m.): tweens 9-14 delivery up 56%, kids 6-11 delivery up 44%.
ADULT SWIM (Monday-Thursday, Saturday-Sunday, 11 p.m.-2 a.m.)
- Ranked #1 in its time period on basic cable in delivery of adults 18-34 and 18-24, and men 18-34 and 18-24.
- Accounted for 4 of Top 10, 16 of Top 50 programs of the week among adults 18-34 on ad-supported basic cable.
- Adults 18-34 delivery (571,000) surged by 49% and ratings (0.9) by 50%.
- Adults 18-24 delivery (271,000) rose by 14% and ratings (1.0) by 11%.
