CBS's freshman drama CRIMINAL MINDS finished in its closest competitive position to the "Lost" in viewers and key demographics, according to live plus same day national Nielsen ratings for Wednesday, Jan. 11.

CRIMINAL MINDS was second in households (10.3/15), viewers (15.92m), adults 25-54 (6.2/13) and adults 18-49 (4.8/11). This matches the best ever first run delivery of a Wednesday CRIMINAL MINDS in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and second best in viewers.

This episode also finishes in the closest competitive position with a first run episode of "Lost" in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

CSI: NY (R) was first in households (8.7/14), viewers (13.18m), adults 25-54 (5.4/13) and adults 18-49 (4.3/11), against all first run competition. CSI: NY rebroadcast topped NBC's first run "Law & Order" by +1% in households (vs. 8.6/14), +3% in viewers (vs. 12.83m), +8% in adults 18-49 (vs. 4.0/10) and +10% in adults 25-54 (vs. 4.9/11). CSI: NY rebroadcast easily topped ABC's "Invasion" by +40% in households (vs. 6.2/10), +37% in viewers (vs. 9.65m), +10% in adults 18-49 (vs. 3.9/10) and +15% in adults 25-54 (vs. 4.7/11).
