VIEWERS FIND "WITHOUT A TRACE" IN ITS NEW SUNDAY TIME PERIOD
17.4 Million Viewers Lead the Fifth Season Premiere of "Without a Trace" to a First Place Finish, More Than Doubling Last Year's Time Period Deliveries
"Cold Case" Posts Best Delivery in Key Demographics For a Season Premiere With Increases Over Last Year of +29% in Adults 18-49, +20% in Adults 25-54 and +17% in Viewers

CBS Posts Its Highest Rated Sunday With Regularly Scheduled Programming in Viewers and Key Demographics Since November 2005
CBS's new Sunday lineup opened in impressive fashion as the fifth season premiere of WITHOUT A TRACE won its time period in viewers while more than doubling last year's time period demographic deliveries, COLD CASE posted significant increases over last year's premiere and THE AMAZING RACE 10 increased last week's audience, according to preliminary live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Sept. 24.
Editors Note: Last year's premiere Sunday included a highly-rated NFL overrun (New England at Pittsburgh) which delayed the start of prime programming by 53-minutes.
At 10:00 PM, WITHOUT A TRACE (P) was first in households (11.0/18) and viewers (17.36m), second in adults 25-54 (6.3/14) and averaged 4.8/12 in adults 18-49. Compared to the time slot last year (CBS SUNDAY MOVIE: "Martha Behind Bars" from 10:00-11:00PM), WITHOUT A TRACE was up +120% in households (from 5.0/08), +133% in adults 25-54 (from 2.7/06), +140% in adults 18-49 (2.0/05) and added +10.05m viewers (from 7.31m, +138%).
This is the time period's best delivery with a regularly scheduled program since Feb. 20, 2005 in both households and viewers (CBS SUNDAY MOVIE "Stone Cold"), 11/6/05 in adults 18-49 (CBS SUNDAY MOVIE "Category 7: End of the World") and 11/14/04 in adults 25-54 (CBS SUNDAY MOVIE "Category 6: Day of Destruction").
WITHOUT A TRACE topped the premiere of "Brothers and Sisters" in viewers by +8% (17.36m vs. 16.10m).
At 9:00 PM, the fourth season premiere of COLD CASE (P) was second in households (9.7/14) and viewers (15.91m) while averaging 5.3/11 in adults 25-54 and 4.0/09 in adults 18-49, marking its best demographic ratings for a season premiere.
Compared to last year's premiere (on the same night last year at 8:53PM), COLD CASE was up +10% in households (from 8.8/13), +20% in adults 25-54 (from 4.4/09), +29% in adults 18-49 (from 3.1/07) and added +2.30m viewers (from 13.61m, +17%). This is the best delivery for a first run episode of COLD CASE since Jan. 29, 2006 in both households and viewers, Jan. 8, 2006 in adults 25-54 and March 26, 2006 in adults 18-49.
Compared to last week's initial broadcast, the 8:00 PM time period premiere of THE AMAZING RACE 10 retained 96% of its adults 25-54 delivery (4.4/10 vs. 4.6/10) , 90% of adults 18-49 performance (3.5/09 vs. 3.9/09) and built in both households (+5%, 6.6/10 from 6.3/10) and viewers (+7%, 10.85m from 10.13m or +720,000 viewers).
For the night, CBS posted its highest rated Sunday with regularly scheduled programming in adults 18-49 (3.6/09), adults 25-54 (4.9/11) and viewers (14.09m) since November 27, 2005 ("60 Minutes," "Cold Case" and "Silver Bells").
