Every CW Comedy Scored Growth Versus Sunday Telecasts
Night of Comedy Improves The CW's Monday Over Night of Drama
October 17, 2006 (Burbank, CA) -- The move to Monday has given a dramatic boost to all of The CW comedies compared to their last two telecasts on Sunday night, according to preliminary live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Monday, Oct. 16.
"Everybody Hates Chris" posted increases over its two Sunday airings by 75% in adults 18-34 (1.4/4), 50% in women 18-34 (1.8/5), 44% in adults 18-49 (1.3/4), 23% in women 18-49 (1.6/4) and 28% in viewers (3.1mil).
"All of Us" improved over its Sunday average by 56% in adults 18-34 (1.4/4), 29% in women 18-34 (1.8/5), 30% in adults 18-49 (1.3/3), 31% in women 18-49 (1.7/4) and 21% in viewers (2.9mil).
"Girlfriends" delivered ratings growth of 33% in adults 18-34 (1.6/4), 29% in women 18-34 (2.2/5), 15% in adults 18-49 (1.5/3), 18% in women 18-49 (2.0/5) and 10% in viewers (3.1mil) versus its Sunday telecasts.
The CW's new comedy "The Game" scored gains over its previous two Sunday airings in all demos, including 17% in adults 18-34 (1.4/4), 18% in women 18-34 (2.0/5), 8% in adults 18-49 (1.3/3) and 6% in women 18-49 (1.7/4).
The CW's Monday block of comedies also improved over the last original Monday of "7th Heaven" and "Runaway" (10/2/06), with growth of 15% in adults 18-34 (1.5/4), 5% in women 18-34 (2.0/5), 8% in adults 18-49 (1.3/3), 6% in women 18049 (1.8/4).
